How does a gm pick up theze two pgs as his first big moves of his career?

Its inexcusable. Even if his plan was to tank, he could have at least not stole experience from our young players. This is straight up pathetic

Christie is either handcuffed or stupid. There is no way someone coaches this bad. He benched Westbrook on last play for that stupid step back 3. Mavs would have gave him that 3 without the step back.

How is Carter worse than that guy? Like what is this!!!!! Trash!!!!

DeRozen was open at the top of the circle with a hot hand
Just rewound it. DeRozan was on the logo and backing up. Max was in the paint already trying to push Gafford under the basket and had his back to the play. Schröder was open on the opposite elbow but standing flat footed, LaVine in the strong side corner was really the only other option and he was being covered closely by Max Christie. Watching it I still contend that little jab and stepback was the best shot available.

Looked to me that the play was swinging it to Keon Ellis as soon as the two defenders pressured DDR. He was open.

We are not talking about the same play, Keon was not on the floor for the Westbrook step back. On the DeRozan final shot of the game, the play was to swing it to Keon but that would have been close on time. Probably would get it off though.

Scott Perry has to hit the hot seat at some point. His PG additions were horrendous. Not confidence building when it comes to this guys future. Where are these "pillars"? lol.

They point to Nique and max but Nique looks like a future seventh man at best.. Perry sucks and has always sucked don’t know why anyone would trust someone whose two pickups were westbrick and journeyman Schroeder when the team has one wing on the roster.. CULTURE!

Be for real Westbrook was getting crunch time minuets the second that dumbass perry and Vivek signed him that’s not on Christie at all

Looking at his stay in NY it certainly looks like Thibs came in and did what he does. This deadline is probably pretty big just to know what Perry is likely going to be from here on. He has a really easy path but nothing on the floor seems to be heading towards that right now.

With 6+ seconds left on the shot clock, I go to the hot hand closer at the top in DeRozan. Unless you'd rather have Westbrook shoot a step back 3

I have zero faith he will do anything remotely resembling competence. Honestly im starting to think this thing is rigged. How can a team suck for 26 years straight man!

If this was a marriage. Someone would go to jail for spousal abuse.

Anyone with a brain could see that this isnt working and we keep bringing the same washed out vets in every game for heavy min. How are we still selling tickets!

I love going to games but there is absolutely no way im wasting money on this team. Fox was not this good for it to crash our whole team like this. How do you make these pickups man. How is derozen our best player! I dont even care if you cant trade them. Release them. Addition by subtraction

Just got home from the game tonight. I’ve been going to 8-10 games a year now for the last 10 years or so. Maybe it’s recency bias, but to me it felt like the most empty seats at a regular season game that I can remember. There were a lot of empty seats Sunday vs the Bucks too but noticeably more tonight.

My wife was already complaining about the 8pm start and when the Mavs cut the deficit and took the lead late, I teased her that this game had all the signs of going to OT. She was like, “no way I’m watching 5 more minutes of these two teams.” Dark times in the Kingdom :p

My buddy called me with 2 free lower level seats so I asked the wife if she wanted to go. Nope. I just let the tickets go to waste cause the last couple games I watched were so mind numbingly boring that I changed the channel. I don’t even want to get in my car and drive down there, pay for parking, and go drink expensive beer. I’m willing to pay $600 a ticket for the 49ers but I won’t even go to a free kings game. If my 1986 kings fan self could see where I’d be with this team in 2026…………..

49ers are not worth $600 a ticket either........no-where remotely close.....true, their organizatoin is not as poor off as the Kings, but Lynch, management and coaching/scouts have mostly whiffed on their recent drafts and signings with excception of Jones. The repeated managerial mistakes year-in and year-out are tiresome.

Not even bothering with the Kings this season..... many better things to do with time. Will pick it up a bit come draft time with Baja. Organization is a complete mess.

Live sporting event pricing is out of control. Was interested in the World Cup until the trot out of clear gouging. Someone else can 'enjoy' nose-bleed seats for $250 a piece. Food's already expensive enough as is day-to-day......I'll stick with 720p at home with Telemundo and Peacock.

That was one of Maxime's better defensive performances.

I hate the start time but I really like the NBC production. They generally have the on court and crowd noise turned up and it gives the games a more exciting feel than our local broadcast where the crowd is turned down and Kayte is turned up to 11 with permission to ramble from start to finish.

I don't have any issue with what TMac said. Yeah we don't have a centerpiece to build around but that still doesn't explain why they doubled down on vet signings and are going so far in on heavy vet minutes. Those of us in Sac aren't the only ones who see how futile this all is.

There were really only two paths once those decisions were made. Either the vets would prop the team up enough to get bounced in the play in or finish just outside the play in or they were going to be so bad collectively that they would tank each others trade values and leave us as basement dwellers. At least with the latter, we should get a solid draft pick. It just means that this team is going to have to be basement dwellers for at least 3 years minimum and if Vivek forces them to step on the gas before that, we'll just see a repeat of the Tyreke/Cousins years.

Last night was one of the few times where I didn’t watch the full game.

There was a possession in the first half where the team was actually moving the ball really well with multiple quick passing decisions to get the defense scrambling, then when the ball swung back to Russ and it just stopped… he just held it for a good 3 seconds, let the D reset and then chucked up a 3 (he missed).

Too tired to stay up any later to watch that type of frustrating crap.

Loved Russ at first, but lately he has just been playing for himself and his personal stats now that the season is lost.

He takes too many possessions off on D.
Too many 0-pass possessions.
Jacking up too many bad shots.
Leads the team in TOs and it isn’t even close.

So Russell Westbrook… is still Russell Westbrook? 😂

There’s a reason he had to settle with this current version of the Kings. Lol
