I never used those words. One shot bounces different and this is the win of the season so far. It didn't and now we're going to spend 5 minutes dumping on people? Come on man. That's just stupid.

But okay... If we must, how about instead of talking about the last play we talk about the no calls in the last 5 minutes which allowed Denver to hang around? Or when the Kings had Denver on their heels early in the 4th and wasted 4 possessions in a row trying to hit a statement three instead of just taking a layup? Or another slow start spotting Denver 20 pts in the 1st quarter which always comes back to bite us. There were chances earlier in the game that the Kings wasted. I'm not mad at DeMar for blowing the last play though. That's just basketball. 9 times out of 10 that's a game winning play. I guess we've all done something in our lives that we deserve to live in 1 out of 10 suckville instead?

He might be a very good player, but how many minutes will he play behind monk/ellis/fox? I haven’t even mentioned Huerter. We needed wing help and he drafted a pg anyway.
You do realize that the guard lineups were what got the Kings back in this one right? Huerter ain't even a factor. He's on the block, AGAIN, and if Brown sits Carter for Huerter this might be a time where Monte finally comes down from his nest and pushes some weight around.

Plenty. Two of them will start playing around 64 minutes combined. That leaves 32 minutes for back up guards plus additional time when they run 3 guard lineups. If Devin’s game translates he will probably be one of your favorite players.

The Nuggets made their last SEVEN fg attempts AND got two trips to the line where they made all 4 free throws. 7-7 for 17 points and 4-4 at the line. One stop and we are all celebrating right now.
This is statistically almost impossible. I don't think the Kings let off the gas on defense either, it was just like Steph's 50 pt game two years ago to close out game 7. A perfect storm of everything going the other team's way.

So much good just pooped down the drain in about a minute. I can’t fault the play in the last minute or so, but they just slightly got loose with things for a minute and opened the door. Disappointing but im trying to not let games like this pee me off anymore.
They made a LOT of sloppy plays to lose this game. It was pretty ugly.

I honestly don't know. I never understood the pick personally especially with monkey starting now he's not going back to the bench. Kid is stuck on the bench even if he balls out for years to come. Unless we trading monk or God forbid fox sometime soon
or if he looks real good, then they will "have to" trade Keon, who is probably the best value contract in the league? Could be a situation

I’m not dumping in DDR either, bad games happen in this sport. It’s all a team effort but I do shift a lot of blame to Monk for changing his entire game after a miss, which is not his character on the court. I posted when it happened… But this is not a game you hold your head high after. They had this. Then some of that nonsense you wrote about happened and a great win tuned into a horrible loss. I took umbrage to your “holding your head high” after this. Na. You get pissed. You hopefully learn. And you don’t let it freakin’ happen again,

Is Carter taking Keon minutes this season? Trying to picture how this is going to unfold
I think moving on, at least short term the Kings guard core is Fox, Monk, Carter, and Keon. That's more than enough even if Carter doesn't play much in 3 guard lineups. The reality even before Carter was drafted was this is a guard team. It has been for some time. Now, the only piece that actually truly makes it work is that Carter guy. If he lives up to his potential, he's pushing everyone out of his way not named Fox. If not, he's the role guy doing what you saw Colby do tonight but with elite athletica bility and defensive skill rather than just effort. Credit to Colby for the effort though.

I do not care.

Drafting for need is always wrong. It's how the Blazers pass on Michael Jordan because they have Clyde Drexler. It's how we pass on on Luka Doncic because he doesn't fit with Fox. It's how we turn Hali (BPA, not need based drafting with Fox/Buddy/Bogi RFA rights) turned into one of the best players in our franchise history with Domas.

Now if you thought there was a better wing than Carter there, fine, I can at least respect that. I'd disagree, but at least you'd have the stones to say "Player X is better than Devin Carter". Using we "need" a wing as your justification is bad and wrong.

I thought you said you had Knecht right there with the Carter pick?
