Everybody knows their ability and positives/negatives, but playoff teams want to see that they are currently in form, if they're going to take a chance with a trade

I've started to view a majority of owners on the "Vivek spectrum" where I really do think most of these guys are complete prisoners of the moment with their decision making and what they sign off on. I think current form and what they've done this season might actually matter for a lot of these teams.

Contending teams are willing to take a longer term risk, if they think it might be enough to put them over the top in a playoff run. Simple risk/reward strategy.....that I fear to see in motion, if Ranadive ever lucks into that position

I am curious. Do sportswriters on suspect sites write their copy in advance?

<The Miami Heat showed no mercy against the struggling Kings, maintaining control throughout the contest at the Kaseya Center. Sacramento came into Saturday looking to snap a four-game skid but couldn’t stop Miami’s offensive firepower. The Heat’s depth proved too much for Sacramento to handle despite needing a win.>

I suspect it's an AI sportswriter gone amok. The site is sure sketchy.

If they are gonna base it in the most recent games then those FO execs should be fired. monte and Pete D aren’t currently employed as GM so we are out of luck.

Naa, it's just a part of an evaluation and factoring risk/reward. When getting ready for a stretch run into the playoffs, a player who currently has it going and looks like they still have something in the tank, has more trade value for a serious playoff team. You'd much rather bring in a hot Lavine or DeRozan, than one who is floundering

Wish Zach was aggressive every night regardless of results but I’m happy to see Max, Nique and Keegan do their thing on both ends. Especially happy to light the beam with them playing and playing well.

Bam embarrassing himself in front of his girlfriend/the best female basketball player on the planet.

heathy Sabonis is much better, idc what anyone says. People let this injury riddled season play with their memory

No one can convince me he’s better than a healthy Sabonis, i know that much.

unironically, on a team as a 3rd option behind Harden/Kawhi with a Zubac level rim protector, he'd be awesome.
This is a very hypothetical world because Kawhi is not the same defender he was and can barely string 3 games together. The clippers of last year or 4 years ago, sure.

Solid. Active, with two blocks. Raynaud and Achiuwa were instrumental in keeping Miami from constantly going to the rim. Both guys had 10 rebounds, which meant the rebounding battle was slightly in favor of the Kings, 45-41.
Winning the rebounding battle without Sabonis on the floor didn’t seem at all possible a month ago. Adding Keegan, Precious, Max and Nique to the equation changes so much.
