[NFL] 2025-2026 Thread

Fantastic analysis by CBS dolt "If you take away their TD this is a one score game"... Pats played the only game not decided by one score and were the only team to keep their opponent out of the end zone but wants to take away "one play", which is naturally the one they scored on.

Always my favorite analysis. They do this all the time with guys who score on long TDs, especially RB's

"If you take away his 60 yard TD, he only averaged 3.2 YPC on his other runs!" Well, turns out 60 yard TDs are pretty important in football

As a Pats fan I'm irritated but on the flip I am glad people are looking for ways to write this season off as smoke and mirrors. Drake Maye is pretty amazing. He may not match Brady's impossible standard but he's showing incredible pocket presence and passing ability with the know how and ability to run for a big play when needed. Borregales wasn't spotted three gimme FGs out of thin air either. One of them, the go ahead/winning kick to close the second half came on the heels of a Maye 1 minute drill that got them in scoring range with 11 seconds and no timeouts. That was set up by a master class on defense, clock management, and Maye making 2-3 clutch plays in a narrow time window.

I don't think they are a Super Bowl team this year either, but I feel Josh McDaniels probably won't be given another head coaching job and Vrabel is really solid, and the team can only get better from here as Drake Maye and others improve.

These teams are awful. Houston has been playing some of the best D in the conference but they should probably be down 14 right now.

Sometimes that's a compliment to the defense but in this case it is mostly the Steelers also making mistakes.

Well that certainly escalated quickly. Went from a 7-6 grinder to an absolute drubbing in a blink of an eye. Texans might have one of those special defenses that can carry a team to a SB trophy.
