[NFL] 2025-2026 Thread

One has to wonder just how much better of a team offensively the Lions could potentially be if Dan Campbell scales back on 4th down plays and just settles with the 3 points whenever possible. It's as if he beats himself at his own game by going for it on 4th and short plays and his team not being able to cash in on all most of them.
He's either a 'black-jacker' or somebody sold him on the whole analytics party-train....I think he cost the Lions a Superbowl bid vs the 49ers in Jan 2024 thanks to his decision making. I don't know, but don't think the Chiefs would've beaten the Chiefs - this year I'm happy to report the Chiefs are unlikely to sniff the SuperBowl......upstart teams are one-upping them......hoping they completely miss the party. The hate oozes - numero uno in any sport right now.....the Rams got it together and healthy....why not?----AFC would love to see Indiana Jones and the Colts or Broncos, like the Jaguars, but they've faded a bunch.

Purdy continues to be a bit of a head scratcher. Seemed like every other throw after the 1st quarter was a near pick.

Niners really need to win the next 3 games because this defense cannot hold up against an average or better QB.

Kind of a lucky win in a way. They didn't beat the Cards as much as the Cards really beat themselves. Was really nice to finally see some turnovers created for once.
Purdy was doing pin-point dangerous throws earlier, when working, but its caught up to him somewhat - didn't see the Cardinals game......49ers look like Wild Card fodder this year -even at full strength my guess would've been divisionals......considering their injuries, a great year, but with this management, they'll always neglect their secondary - either that or their secondary scouts suck a$$..

I'm actually looking forward to watching a Raiders game in person without the requirement of having to concern myself about a subpar Raiders performance (that is widely expected).

Now that I have just said that...Subpar Cowboys performance incoming.

LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

:p:p:p

Football season, unfortunately, is not a "win-win" situation for me...
I'll be cheering the Cowboys (oddly) vs the Sheagles.....dont much like Hurts. Loved the Eagles team that beat the Patriots in 2018 though - one of better SuperBowls surely.

Go Bears. 8-3. They keep finding ways. All the starting linebackers were out and Jaylen Johnson and Kyler Gordon still out. They played linebackers who I’d never heard of. Need some of these guys back healthy when they play the Eagles on Black Friday

That's a big game vs Eagles - I'm pulling for the Bears except when they play the 49ers 2nd to last game of season......the threshold for a good shot at wild card now is 10 wins - bears just need 2 wins to make that - but they have a difficult remaining schedule - eagles, packers twice, browns, 49ers, lions.....2 wins is doable, ---- 3-3 seems possible - I think 2-4 is the floor for them - the Packers/Lions games are key - especially Packers - they need to win 2 of those 3 think to have a shot at the division..

49ers need to beat the Panthers tomorrow - otherwise they slide back a whole game due to tie-breaker - that game is the single biggest game out of the next 4. The also need to go 3-3 and 4-2 might get em the division if they beat the Seahawks the final game while the Seahawks beat the Rams Dec 18..

If Cowboys can beat Chiefs and Lions, their schedule is easier the remain 4 except for the Chargers......They have a shot - not a good shot, but a shot.

Rams throttling the Bucs.....1 more TD for the Rams and game going off.....Bucs are another fodder team along with the 49ers. and Seahawks

I think the Rams are the best in the NFL right now - definitely the most balanced team - if healthy they will be top contenders. Their schedule is not too difficult with only Seahawks, Lions, Panthers in question. rounding out Cardinals tiwce and Falcons (who've completely fallen off the cliff).
My guess is the Rams go 5-1 the rest of the way, at worst 4-2. which would give them a 14-3 record and top seed.

Tomorrows game vs Panthers is a must-win for 49ers if they want to more solidify the wild-card.
