[NFL] 2025-2026 Thread

Tony Romo wins the Grant Napear award for making every single injury sound like the Alex Smith injury and Joe Theismann’s injury happening at once.

For all the talk about the Shanahan offense being cutting edge, Kyle is probably one of the more old school coaches left in the league.
Yeah - It greatly helps being the son of a retired pro coach. Shanahan's offensive play calling can be questionable - but when to take points he's nearly always on.......lets see if that 3 points not tried by Coen is the difference in this game at the end of the game. FG kicker missing shouldn't count against you unless its a prayer type distance.

Why doesn't Sac have NFL franchise or even MLB franchise but Jacksonville has the Jaguars? The reason N.E. Florida city built NFL ready stadium 68,000 compacity, actively solicitated relocation or new franchise to come to its dynamic city by 1995. City leaders had aggressive strategy starting 1989 to bring the NFL to Jacksonville. Exact opposite of no plan, short-sited, over regulated, incompetent leadership at all political levels in sad Sac. - meaning city mayor, city council, country board of supervisors and more. You get the govt you deserve old saying and such realty may never change in Sac unless mostly useless gang of politicians removed at the ballot box. Not a political statement, just never ending reality here.

Todays population comparison:

Jacksonville, FL metro approx. 1.8 million / 41st ranked media market in U.S.

Sacramento CA metro approx. 2.6 million / 20th ranked media market in U.S.

Long story short, the NFL put the Jags there because they wanted a bite of the Florida college football market.

Because its "Excremento" :)

Lawrence is really amazing. Sometimes or most often takes 4-5 years for NFL QB to reach his potential. Everyone thought Trevor had the ability coming out of Clemson and #1 pick by Jags. Now it's clearly obvious one of the top 5 QBs in NFL. Look out if not Superbowl bound this season likely sooner rather than later.

q

Patrick Willis, go grab a helmet and some cleats because YOU are the starting linebacker for the 49ers today!
Yeah its a tough one today - 49ers are in deep trouble - no decent LBing on top of poor secondary and injured (average) pass rush equates to a beating.....I give em ~ 3/10 chance that the offense and special teams somehow are able to compensate.....

Lawrence is good, but "clearly" top 5 good? Hmm I dont think so right now......in the top 10, yes..
