[NFL] 2025-2026 Thread

Aside fromt the Rams/Panthers, I expect every other game to be pretty close......AFC games look more interesting - Bills/Jaguars an outstanding matchup. Also like Chargers vs Patsies......Packer/Bears should be pretty good.

I didn't watch Colts game today, but the Texans are legitimate - similar to the Seahawks in strengths.....
Colts rookie QB balled out which might be a black mark against the Texans otherwise rock solid D play as of late but the Steelers really haven't impressed me. I don't think this Baltimore team was very good. Neither team really deserved a playoff spot.

Wild Card 49ers vs Eagles 1330PSt Sunday FOX - line -- Eagles by 4, Predicted score:~ 26-22.
See if Shanahan and Purdy learned something from their beatdown..........it may be just another overmatch
.

Las Vegas and Arizona also looking for new head coaches
Giants I think will be announcing search
Jets on the clock, Vikings on the clock to put to rest whether they are dumping their guy.
The Giants have been unofficially searching for a while. I could swear they sent out feelers to some of the top collegiate coaches including Marcus Freeman.

Saw a stat that the Jets defense had -zero- interceptions this season. Never happened since they started tracking interceptions. They didn't trade Sauce until after he had logged 7 games either.

I’d like to see the Jets give their guy some time. Roster is not good enough. They need to find a QB.
Who is the next hot Coordinator out there?
Wondering if Saleh gets another shot?
Bears finally hit paydirt by hiring Ben Johnson.
Same goes for some of the other teams who finally turned the corner. Most of these teams hires were Coordinators weren’t they?

Most recent success I think has gone to proven coaches with Vrabel and I guess if you reach back two years to Harbaugh. Denver is a few years into Sean Payton. But I think Johnson is the only coordinator to make a massive leap and he did have the rep as a QB whisperer and offensive genius (Detroit sure seems to have missed him).

It's the organizations though. Jets failed QBs seem to play fine for others. I don't think that Pete Carroll was the problem in Las Vegas.

As far as hot coordinators I think Charlie Weis Jr. may be a name to watch though he seems content to coach at LSU for Kiff next year. There is word that Phillip Rivers is attracting interest as a coaching candidate after his brief comeback. Klint Kubiak (Seattle OC) is already getting interview requests. Same for Matt Nagy (Chiefs OC). Will be interesting to see who else comes up. I figure my dude in New England is safe after his multiple failed HC stints.

Speaking of (possible) good coach, bad org... former Browns coach (as of today) Kevin Stefanski is already being linked to the Falcons, Giants and Titans.

Washington Commanders are moving on from their Offensive and Defensive coordinators. Kliff Kingsbury probably won't get HC offers but will be in demand as OC. Hard to believe with Jayden Daniels only playing 7 games they'd dump Kingsbury over it.
