Meh. All of these franchises are below the Kings in the standings because they're underperforming. In some cases, it's due to injury. In other cases, it's due to incompetency. But in any case, the roster chemistry that has made the Kings one of the best teams in the Western Conference isn't going to dissipate just because other teams are making desperation trades. It's silly season out there right now. And regardless, there's no trade that Monte McNair could make at this particular deadline that would correct the Kings' defensive woes, so why throw away assets in a market that's suddenly out of whack? If he's able to make the marginal move that many of us were expecting in order to shore up the bench a bit, then great. Otherwise, I'd prefer he keeps his powder dry until the off-season. By then, he'll have a clearer idea of what the playoffs reveal about this roster.
 
I wonder if 5 second round picks is the most in a single trade? We have had it happened twice today but I don't recall it happening before. Anyone know?

What I dont understnad about takes like yours is why dont you just say what your implyng --- "James Jones, the GM of the Suns, 3x NBA Champion, is a complete moron and I know basketball better!" N instead you try some roundabout way of making that point citing KEVIN FREAKING DURANTS 3PT PERCENTAGE, which, to me, seems really weak, lacking context and watered down in comparison.

Wait, what? Because I think bringing in Kevin Durant means the Suns will be taking more long twos, less threes, holding the ball slightly longer in iso situations, and won't have the 2-3 extra possessions per game Mikal Bridges gets them with his deflections and collectively that could all add up to an incremental decrease in PPP which makes the trade essentially a wash instead of a landslide championship parade defining moment, I'm implying that the GM of the Suns is a moron? It's obvious why they did it. They were stumbling and had an opportunity to add a superstar. I just think once you peer into the weeds a little bit at the nuts and bolts of NBA offenses, this new Suns lineup isn't as world beating as it appears on the surface. The game is still played for 48 minutes with just one ball.
