Monte made the common sense move here. Yes, on the surface it sucks but it's the cost of doing business. Now, lets see what 38 brings. Don't be too surprised if our very own Cash Considerations rears it's ugly head haha.
****. Just realized I have to research free agents now that the Kings suddenly have max cap room.
We got room to find a wing AND a big that could be part of the main rotation going forward.****. Just realized I have to research free agents now that the Kings suddenly have max cap room.
No, no he didn't.
Sunken cost fallacy on Holmes to it's fullest. You just eat it, you stretch him, you maybe try to rebuild some of his value. You don't attach a FRP to get off a bad contract. It's just horrible horrible process.
Worst move in the Monte era and it's not even close. This isn't Vlade bad, but it's basically one notch above.

I agree unless they are certain they can sign one of the top free agents plus a primo back up. Risky move unless they know something we don’t
And why are we making this trade within the conference? I can’t imagine a bottom barrel Wizards team wouldn’t have been happy for this deal. No, no he didn't.

I think he only opted out to restructure a different contract, I didn't think he was going to leave Milwaukee...So.. the plan is Khris Middleton maybe?

But, but, that would be tampering!

If we keep…If my math is right, we now have around 40m cap space.
So.. the plan is Khris Middleton maybe?
Can we confirm
Can you confirm what our current cap space is assuming we release the holds on Trey,
Barnes and the rest?
Yeah you do when it's probably the least value contract in the league and the thing keeping you from actual cap space that means anything. Are you really shocked at all by this though? I'm pretty sure you and I had discussions about this for the last year or so. It makes sense. Now, Monte just can't F up that space on a marginal talent.
If we keep…
…we’d have $31.2 mil in cap space.
- Fox
- Sabonis
- Huerter
- Monk
- Murray
- Mitchell
- Dozier
- Edwards
- Lyles
If we keep…
…we’d have $35.7 mil in cap space.

Maybe the dude we really want was going to be available at 38?
But then again, all those who follow the draft religiously said this year is not super strong outside of the top picks and from pick #10 - #25 they are all a wash...You can tell who’s been following the draft and who hasn’t. This wasn’t the year to trade away 1st round picks. Why do you guys think we’re the only team to make a trade that didn’t get a draft pick back for this year?
It's going to be a lot. I'm a bit too involved here to multitask it right now. That $40M number sounds close at least.

Moving Mitchell brings the cap space to $39.7 mil.And if you attach that space with a Mitchell and maybe even a Murray you might have a superstar package within reach.
I think youve misinterpreted. They’re a wash because they’re all pretty much equal in talent. The consensus is that this draft is one of the deepest we’ve ever seen. But then again, all those who follow the draft religiously said this year is not super strong outside of the top picks and from pick #10 - #25 they are all a wash...
