Instead, Fox dribbled out of a double-team and drove against Spencer Dinwiddie, getting into the restricted area before throwing up a shot that missed badly as Fox fell to the floor. Dinwiddie should have been whistled for a foul that would have sent Fox to the line for two free throws, but the foul was not called. Dinwiddie (DAL) makes contact with Fox’s (SAC) body as he gathers and enters his upward shooting motion,” the Last Two Minute Report stated.

The Knicks were held to 48 points in the first half, but they obliterated the Kings with an 83-point second half. It was the most points the Knicks have scored in a second half since they had 83 against the Phoenix Suns on Dec. 28, 1969; and the most they’ve scored in any half since putting up 84 against the Philadelphia 76ers on Nov. 18, 1988. We just couldn’t get them stopped at all,” Gentry said.

After playing host to the Nuggets, the Kings will visit the Utah Jazz on Saturday before coming home to face the Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns.

The NBA is buzzing over the future of LeBron James after the Los Angeles Lakers star said he plans to play with his son Bronny when he enters the league in 2024. Interim coach Alvin Gentry has been reluctant to put Donte DiVincenzo in his starting lineup since the Kings acquired him in a four-team trade involving the Milwaukee Bucks, but Gentry liked what he saw Monday night against the Chicago Bulls. The Kings were missing Justin Holiday and Jeremy Lamb, but DiVincenzo started in place of Holiday, new dad Domantas Sabonis returned after missing two games and De’Aaron Fox put the finishing touches on a 112-103 victory over the Bulls at Golden 1 Center.

That embarrassing, here-we-go-again feeling was popping up for the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night. The familiar script was being written against the Chicago Bulls after Sacramento blew big leads against the Knicks (23 points) and Mavericks (19 points) last week during a four-game losing streak. The Kings on Tuesday, yet again, took a 20-point lead into halftime.

Unvaccinated fans who want to see the Kings play before their season comes to an end will find the process of getting into Golden 1 Center has become a little bit easier. Fans ages 2 and over are still required to show proof they are fully vaccinated or produce a negative COVID-19 test, but at-home test results are now being accepted. PCR tests must be performed within two days and Antigen tests must be performed within one day of entry into the arena.

Kings guard Donte DiVincenzo admitted he had a little more “juice” when he faced his former team for the first time Wednesday night at Golden 1 Center. He also had the playbook. The Kings came up short in a 135-126 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks with former general manager Vlade Divac, three-time NFL MVP Brett Favre and former UFC champion Chuck Liddell sitting courtside.

They won’t be able to overtake the Suns for the top spot in the West, but they have a good chance to hold off the Warriors for the No. seed. The Kings could be without point guard De’Aaron Fox when they play host to the Boston Celtics on Friday night at Golden 1 Center. Fox is listed as questionable after suffering an injury to his right hand in Wednesday’s 135-126 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. Sabonis posted a monster double-double with 30 points, 20 rebounds and five assists. He became the first Kings player to finish with 30 points and 20 rebounds in a game since Cousins on Nov. 28, 2016, but the Kings were completely overmatched and never led against one of the hottest teams in the league. It was an uphill battle from the very start of the game,” interim Kings coach Alvin Gentry said.

It wasn’t a wake Saturday afternoon as much as it was a celebration of life for an old building. Hundreds of Kings fans stopped by Arco Arena for one final peek as the venerable venue will soon be demolished to make way for a teaching hospital. If Kings fans know three things especially well, it’s this: They know how to cheer, they know how to tolerate heartache and they know how to say farewell.

The Kings last played there in April of 2016, a 114-112 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder, which was not an omen of things to come at the sparkling new Golden 1 Center downtown. That venue rocks but the product does not. Since the Kings arrived in Sacramento in 1985, the eight winning campaigns all happened inside Arco, under coach Rick Adelman, often in an environment so loud one could barely hear the cow bells clang.

Didn’t the Kings eliminate the Suns in Phoenix? Maybe he’s referring to a watch party or something

Some reminiscing:

I was at the Peeler/KG game, The 2000 game 4 win over the Lakers and Game 3 Rattle Seattle mentioned in the article.

I also attended Tony Delk’s 53 point game

other top live moments:

-Kings eliminate the Jazz and Kings fans give Stockton/Malone a standing ovation

-LeBron James first game and the obnoxious Cavs fans who showed up in our section touting the future big 3 of LeBron, Ricky Davis and Darius Miles. To be fair, those guys put on a s how early but the Kings took over pretty quick

-a 2003 game against Dallas. We were able to get seats to closer to the court for this game. A lot of hype around it because Dallas was 31-5 and had started the season 14-0 or something….and the Kings destroyed them handily and the building was electric. I sat next to Charles Woodson and I asked Barry Bonds(who was a few rows up with Gary Sheffield) for an autograph and was told no.

2003-2004 Kings-Lakers game. Another particularly electric day game. Lakers brought Kobe, Shaq, Malone, and Payton. Kings destroyed them and Kobe only scored 8 points.

All the Mitch Richmond games when I was a kid. Back then it didn’t matter that the Kings sucked, they had Mitch Richmond.

my family had season tickets from 94 to 05 in the upper deck. We sat next to the loudest young couple who would berate fans who left early(whether the Kings were winning or not) and get on the Row J Section 224’s case if they weren’t loud enough. Nice people. Behind me was a guy who was a Kings fans but spent all game heckling Corliss Williamson during his first run with the team. He wasn’t happy if Corliss was in the game no matter what the Kings were doing “Don’t pass the ball to Corliss!” And “Corliss, you stink”. It was nice that the nose bleeds had so many regulars.

Going to miss the old barn. It’s not just nostalgia. It always had charm. It got so loud in there. Not just Kings game.

I went to a Korn concert there and thought I was deaf when I came out. Literally couldn’t hear a thing for a couple hours and almost panicked. I’ve seen Korn 5 other times in other venues and didn’t lose my hearing. ARCO Thunder definitely played a hand.

RIP ARCO

The Kings will be anxiously awaiting the results of an MRI after two-time All-Star Domantas Sabonis went down with a knee injury during Sunday’s loss to the Phoenix Suns. Sabonis briefly stayed in the game after the injury occurred, but he left the floor moments later and did not return. Interim Kings coach Alvin Gentry said Sabonis would undergo a magnetic resonance imaging exam to determine the extent of the injury.

Kings center Richaun Holmes vehemently denied abusing his son in a series of since-deleted tweets Wednesday after The Sacramento Bee reported claims made in an ugly custody battle between Holmes and his ex-wife. In court documents, Allexis Holmes accused her ex-husband of domestic violence and physical abuse of their 6-year-old son, alleging he caused the boy to bleed from a blow to the head during a Feb. 6 visitation.
