Our 4/5 (yes, the whole 48 minutes for four players) combined for FOUR rebounds in a half.

That's...bad. That's really bad. And the only guy on the team that could fix it is out with a torn meniscus.

Ain't no way Christie isn't getting the axe at some point if this continues. Perry just made the problems worse adding Schroder but this team is gone. Done. Nobodies home. This might be DC's last big hurrah halftime speech.

You may be right, but I actually think that would be a mistake. Management has to wrest control back from the players or things are only going to get worse. Tell Doug to take the gloves off and start tying playing time to defensive effort. But for real this time.

Honestly how did we get so trash so fast? We litteraly only lost one player who isnt even that dam good. Hes litteraly the odd man out in San Antonio. They already hate him.

How did we get so bad so quickly
Super bad energy around the org, noones
excited to be a King. It's just a stop on the way to their next destination.

Every person that's been involved with the Kings for the last 20+ years has nothing positive to say when they leave apart from the SAC fanbase. The org though, they all happily trash.

That feeling filters through the league when the execs, players go to new teams.

Once DC signed that contract it sure looked like a sacrificial variety type. Personally, I think Perry had his moves planned out to give himself enough rope to survive Viveks games for 2 years at least.

Remember that it took Vlade Divac stepping down himself, for there to be a GM change after that debacle.....and he is still around and involved to some extent

It would be stupid but this is the Kangz. Building to nowhere. Literally. DC just sticks to his rotations which is partly showcasing at this point I would hope. They're all just waiting it out. Win or lose, we know this better than any other fan base. This is what it looks like when players feel like they're just floating around and not wanted.

And with the way the young draft picks have been screwed they are one step away from being back to blackballed in the predraft process. Good luck getting any agent to send their client in for a workout.

I thought we would be frustrating and not fun to watch this year, but I didn’t think we would be terrible. For those of you actually watching this debacle, does it appear as though Christie has totally lost the team at this point? Or are we just bad?
I'd say lost... Maybe not all from his own doing, just that people don't want to be here, have no interest in turning it around so they tuning him out

When I was stationed aboard the Truman, we had a new Chief Petty Officer crash out on us in the middle of quarters: some of the sailors had ****ed up and, apparently, the DivO had made it clear in no uncertain terms that he was responsible. Mans had us at attention while he was begging us to "act right." Trying to appeal to our sympathies by talking about how he hadn't even started getting paid for E-7 yet. And I was just standing there thinking to myself, "Man, bro is cooked!"*

That's how I imagine Doug Christie right now at halftime.

*He was, in fact, cooked. A couple months later, there was an incident that resulted in him and others getting their security clearances revoked: he didn't even do anything, he just happened to be the guy in charge. He ended up having to change ratings because he could no longer work with classified material.
