I just feel sad. Well, maybe not sad. I don't know how I feel. Apathetic I guess. I don't even turn the games on anymore. I don't look forward to them. I don't discuss them with my friends. There is nothing here and it feels empty now and going forward until there is new ownership.

I used to worship this organization even in horrible times. I just don't care now. They need to win me back. At the end of the day I know it's just me, I'm one person who doesn't make a difference to this team. But it just sucks that it no longer brings me joy, just indifference.

Never thought I'd see the day, looking back 25 years ago, that I would prefer the NFL nowadays. This sucks man. Feels like part of my being is just gone. I don't feel proud repping this team. It's not because they suck but because of how dysfunctional and inept it is. I can't attach myself to that so heavily and display it. I even took my kings license plate cover off due to embarrassment of rooting for a team (org) that doesn't give a f about its fans and treats them like permanent cattle that won't leave.

Well people are leaving. And I'm not the only one right now. I'll never root for another team but it's hard to care at all. Whining over.

It's a cycle for many Kings fans. I left for several years after the Cousins trade. It was a paltry return and I'd had enough of the Vivek/Divac partnership. Came back when Monte McNair was hired. Depending on how things go this season, I may disengage from the team again. Something that resembles kick-starting a rebuild by the trade deadline would keep me on board. Something that resembles a pathetic attempt at hanging onto a "win now" strategy would absolutely push me away. It's certainly a miserable start to the season, but it was also extremely predictable. Now what does the Vivek/Perry partnership do about it? There's a way forward that could offer some hope for the future, and we'll see if this franchise can be a long-term thinker for a change.

You’re not alone, cause I got to where you are now when Vlade drafted bagley over Doncic. That broke me and my fandom never came back. But it is liberating. I simply feel nothing for the kings anymore. I like this site and I may have a game on in the background just because but other than that, I’d rather watch good basketball. Last nights spurs/warriors game was so much fun to watch. I simply made a decision years ago that I was done wasting my time suffering through bad basketball.

Just watched the game since I chose to go watch HS football playoffs instead. It feels like Christie doubled down on playing the vets because they went on the road and the home crowd couldn’t boo them off the court.
I don’t think this is a directive to Christie at all. He didn’t really play young guys last year either. I think DC is just bad.

And so much for his presser comment that he will find guys that will play the way he wants. I said a long time ago he’s going to ruin the young guys…….that still stands

I think at this point I blame Perry and Vivek more than DC.

You've got a coach who has anything but cemented himself in the league. If you give him a whole cache of veteran players, he's going to play the veteran players because he's looking to put Ws on the board so he looks like a competent coach.

I think he's just put in a bad spot that will more than likely wind up costing him his coaching career but who knows what's going on behind the scenes.

Tell you what kind of player the kings could
Really use right now. The old D Fox that is playing right now. Man, he is killing it against the warriors.
Can I ask, only knowing the outcome and looking at quarter by quarter stats, what was he doing that isn't reflected in those stats? Because there are no counting stats that jumped out at me, his shot % the whole game was below reasonable expectations even before missing 4 to close it.

Being a Kings fan and repping the Kings (only sports gear I ever wear) is the price I pay for being born in Sacramento but spending a good chunk of my formative years in Boston and getting a pass to root for all their other teams. And they all sucked when I lived there so I get the "lived there" and "fan before they were good" stamps on my fan card.

I'll probably always come here to stay involved but I'm not watching the games right now, and that's with a League Pass sub (expires in December, I better make sure to cancel it since I forgot to play the annual cancel-Adobe game this year).

I don't think you can trade the vets if you aren't playing them though? Otherwise we are stuck with these guys for 3 years.

To me, theres anything massive difference in making sure Keon/Carter/Nique/Maxime have consistent everyday roles and just benching the vets. Maybe that means the vets play way less, but its ridiculous as a 3-10 team that our youth still can't get on the floor for even just a consistent bench role!

Really, our only hope has to be the wheels continue to fall off this thing. There has to be no doubt in Viveks mind that selling is the right call.

I’ll only be worried if the trade deadline passes and we haven’t gotten younger and we keep playing vets.

If the young guys are outplaying the vets in equal minutes you’ll never be able to sell. If the vets are just poorly matched maybe you get teams thinking “I can fix em”.

There’s a lot of weird psychology around the league, like once a player gets bought out they almost always become a vet minimum player no matter how good they still are. If you bench your vets they are permanently marked as damaged goods.

It's not an all or nothing decision on playing the vets. Schroeder played 28 min, Westbrook 31 min. Why can't Christie subtract 5 minutes each from those guys to give Clifford another 10 minutes? Better yet, how about reducing Schroeder to 16 minutes, Westbrook to 25, and then give Clifford a whopping extra 18 minutes for a total of 25 minutes of playing time. And have Clifford play the pg position with the ball in his hands, not relegated to an afterthought in the offense. This stuff isn't brain surgery. The Kings are making it much more complicated than it is.

Funny take, considering he had 4 steals and a block in 22 minutes while guarding Randle and Reid much of the time.
Funny how his steals count but Lavins Points dont.

Ellis litteraly reaches at everything. His guy consistently bullies past him, he gets stupid continuation tap fouls every single game.

Id much rather take a Brooks type defense over this. He simply fouls way too much.

But besides from that, and your comment, I dont knkw how we both cant agree that hes litteraly gained zero muscle mass in a league full of grown men.

He can guard 1s and some 2s. Rest is gambling. Witch looks nice when it works. Not so much when it doesn't. If he reached less and gained some strength, it could work wonders to his game

Why does everyone think tanking will solve our problems?

I spoke to my guys yesterday about hiring new people. I told them we need to fix your issues before I can hire someone else, otherwise the new people will pick up the same bad habits.

Until we establish a winning culture, it doesn't matter if we have 1st pick or 30th. This is why im against what some would call fire sales.

Get rid of DDR
Bench Dennis (done)
Trade Monk (Its time

This will work wonders to our team. Free up a log jam. Get a PF/SF back for those guys and we in business.

Tanking will not work in Sac
