Not sure you want to be in the position where the defense completely falls apart the second a guy you signed off the streets a week ago comes off the floor but here we are.

Games like this really highlight how far away we are from actually being a competitive playoff team. Minny one of the 10 best teams in basketball, well-built, playoff tested. And we can't hang

The thing is that the TWolves as currently constructed aren’t really even that good. The Kings are currently just that bad.

Yeah the Wolves haven't been playing great. At some point the Kings are going to be out of wind and when that happens the players are just waiting out the clock.

Damn, did somebody let off a stink bomb in the lower deck? All those empty seats

I suppose somebody did. It’s called the Kings

Can't wait until Doug gets fired. This just isn't enjoyable to watch whether they're winning or not. None of what is happening right now matters at all.

Everything will be **** until Vivek sells or dies of old age. He'll find another Golden Age yes man to trot out after DC gets the axe.

Not sure this is really Doug’s fault. Scott Perry is currently trying to build the roster he wants on top of the roster that’s already been put together and it has somehow led to logjams everywhere without a real sense of depth.

Yeah, Doug's already proven he's all talk. Can't preach "We're going to be defense-first/physical/they will feel us" and you leave the 2 guys capable of that rotting on the bench

I have a hard time not believing he's following orders at this point. Might be showcase related? Has to be, that's the only sense that can be made of it. The thing that takes me back is Westbrook. He's looked the best but how do you showcase that? He's a minimum signing if he wants out he'll just ask.

Was just thinking this... My gut instinct is always to cheer for any King player but it does all feel kinda pointless šŸ˜‚

Geez man. I get all the no defense stuff. But really I only saw one terrible defensive play when lavine was arguing about a no call that led to a 3.

Other than that? Min has been flame throwers out there man. They are hitting everything. I swear teams have a extra confidence when they play us.

Starting precious was a good move imo.
Sick of Dennis.

I think part of it is that Westbrook might actually be one of the few pieces Perry sees as being ā€œlongtermā€.

We already know he doesn’t like Lavine. Hard to imagine he’s super excited about Deebo and Monk. Schroder is on an MLE deal so he’s probably safe on the roster unless a team knocks our socks off.

He might be trying to pump up Zach’s value with these shots to get some spacing hungry team to bite. Same with Deebo.

Problem is, we can never prove that Doug's not making these calls. So unless we find out otherwise, it's fair to judge Doug on the decisions he's making with his rotations.

Monte only gets let off the hook because of the circumstance of the past year. Only a true pyscho leader would let Monte make a franchise-altering decision like the Fox trade...and then fire him 2 months later because of it. And when you operate under that assumption that he was no longer shot-calling, bringing in DDR, someone who rather fits Vivek's "mantra" of the type of player he likes (as well as a player archetype that Monte avoided his entire tenure here), some things start to click how we're stuck where we are currently at.

I still don't think DDR was a bad talent swing to take at all. Especially after we regressed year 2 of the beam team. But man have we fallen off the wagon since.

Nique plays only 7 minutes
Keon zip minutes
Dumb
Were these empty seats all ga,e or just people getting food/bathroom break? Hope it’s empty seats because that would make Vivek take notice. Only way to send him a message for this crape. Bad coach, bad product, bad defense. All of it is bad

I'm going to be shaking my head when Keon is playing meaningful effective minutes for a good playoff team, either later this season or next

Calling it now, he's going to Boston next year, will start next to White/Brown/healthy Tatum and he's an impact player for them in a deep playoff run. He's exactly the kind of guy a smart coach like Mazzulla uses to perfection

37 year old longterm piece would be a very, very bad sign. It just shows that Perry is bad at this job.
