[Game] 03/82 Kings vs Lakers 26 OCT 2025, 6pm Pacific 9pm Eastern

Zach is currently our best player, don't know how anyone can watch this season so far and say he has no heart. He's averaging over 30 ppg and dropped 32 tonight while playing sick.

Yeah, I wouldn't say there's no heart right now. It certainly looks to be a team on edge considering almost every player on the roster was dangled by the new GM. If the idea was to hit the ground running this is exactly why you don't do your business out in the open like Perry has.

Because he's one of the laziest defenders I've ever seen on a basketball court and it drives me crazy watching his malingering. I swear that he's only thinking about offense even when the other team has the ball. Next game, watch what LaVine does on defense the whole time and see if I'm telling the truth or not.
Amen boild

EDIT: I didn't know he was playing sick. I didn't use the word 'malingering' to imply that he's faking an illness, what I meant is that he's only pretending to play defense while waiting for his opportunity to cherry pick some easy points. He was our leading scorer in this game but I think he did more to help the Lakers win this game than any other Kings player.

He’s not a bad man defender. It’s off ball when he has to think and process where’s he’s bad and ball watches. Fox was the same.

That last foul call on Keon Ellis was BS. Where's Mike Brown with the laptop when you need it? Honestly DC should have gotten thrown out of this game or something. Stick up for the guys idk - just trying to think of ways to understand this one tonight even though I'm not surprised.

Well some good effort mixed in the game but we just didn’t have an answer for the whistle. That opens up everything. If you can’t touch him, he can step back and hit threes or drive and kick. SGA, AR and Luka are incredibly annoying to watch.

Part of the problem is that the kings didn’t have the length to guard Reaves as well. The guards were pesky tonight, but he just shot right over them.

Maybe it’s the offense but Domas has not looked like himself dating back to when he came back from that hamstring injury last year. He has no lift and can’t bully ball his way to points like he has in the past. Some of it might be because has been going against huge centers so far in his two games.
He's not healthy at all but we will never hear him complain about it

Fox had his own issues with his motor running hot and cold, I've watched him play enough that I have to agree with that and I don't know what his deal is exactly. Maybe he has sleep apnea or something. But he did take pride in his defense in the games that really mattered -- if it was the playoffs or a rivalry game and it was close down the stretch. He also got called for flagrants trying to stop fast break dunks. LaVine will happily step aside and let the other team dunk while he sprints up the court for the outlet pass.

Yep he's a matador especiale

He kept saying "there are two teams on the court" and was stunned by the free-throw disparity. DeMar was also asked where Austin Reaves killed them the most and he responded with a laugh and said "Freethrows, man"

Ohhhh that’s less juicy. I was king of hoping he was already slamming Perry or Vivek for the mess he has to work with.

Maybe he should try the “Major League” approach and put a semi naked cut out of the owner in the locker room.

A pic of Vivek would be gross but guessing more than a few have pics of Anjali. ;-)

Gave up a 50-piece (almost triple double) to Austin Reaves superstar. Kings defense is something special.

Totally invalidated by TWENTY TWO free throws gifted by the most unscrupulous officiating of any of the 4 major sports leagues.

Austin Reeves shouldn’t shoot 22 free throws in 3 games, let alone in one. Not when we had to watch De’Aaron Fox take it to the hoop aggressively for years and never get the benefit of such a whistle. Most attempts he ever shot in a game was 19 and that didn’t happen often.

Even Steph Curry’s career high for FTA’s in a single game is 19. SMH.

If that doesn’t tell how much of a joke this league has become I don’t know what will.

Spare me the “Austin Reeves is a good player” nonsense, too. I’m not listening to that crap. Dude is a dime a dozen player that I’ve seen many times over the decades. The franchise he plays for dictates the calls he gets. He’d never in a million years get half those whistles in a game playing for the Sacramento Kings. He’d be Vinny Del Negro, and nothing more.

46 free throws for LA versus 18 for SAC is right out of the game 6 2002 handbook.

Good luck with your gambling investigation and indictments, NBA.

Shh, not so loud! We want the Lakers to pay him that superstar money before they realize he's just a dude.

To be fair, this is what he does. Capt predicted he would score 70 tonight and I said that would be just at the line. Hes crafty while being one of the most annoying players to watch in the league.

Steph Curry is crafty too. And a generational shooter and player. And has played in nearly 750 more regular season games than Reaves. Yet he’s never attempted 22 free throws in a game.

The Lakers team as a whole, minus LeFraud and the great protester, ain’t so crafty as to deserve 46 FTA’s versus 18 for the KINGS on their own home floor.

Anybody who believes Austin Reaves would ever shoot half of those 22 attempts while playing in a game as a member of the Sacramento Kings, no matter how crafty he is, is completely delusional (not saying you believe it). Just sayin.

Between that and the schedule it’s almost like the league is trying to tell them something.

Don’t get me wrong, I recognize that he’s a good player that certainly belongs in the league. But as I said, I’ve seen a ridiculously long list of similarly talented players and many others far more talented and crafty over the past 40+ years that never benefited from such a whistle.

If Steph Curry and De’Aaron Fox have never been awarded that many free throw attempts, especially playing in a helluva lot more games, that should say it all.

Take Reaves ridiculous 22 FTA’s out of the equation and LA still attempted 6 more FT’s than the KINGS did on their home floor. How anybody wouldn’t see a problem with that escapes me. Especially when the KINGS have guards/wings such as LaVine, DeRozan, Schroder also playing in the game and a big named Sabonis who ends up black and blue after most of 82 games.

What makes KINGS fans like me even more sensitive about it is that De’Aaron Fox is arguably among the quickest and fastest players in the league who attacked the rim relentlessly during his time in Sacramento and almost never was rewarded like we saw tonight.
