    Grades v. Warriors 12/12

The only thing this game was worth watching for was that it was a good thing Kevin Martin didn't get dealt off in an Iverson trade. Hindsight is 20/20, which is a good thing in this case. On the other hand, in the "Kenny Thomas is an asset" vs. "Kenny Thomas is a liability" debate, the pro-K9...

Allen Iverson thread - DAY TWO

If AI is a King, Arco will sell out (legitimately).

Allen Iverson thread - DAY TWO

I like Bibby but this team looks like it did last year pre-Artest. Something needs to be shaken up to get Arco rockin' again.

Allen Iverson thread - DAY TWO

Iverson is coming to Sac, and I'll tell you why: The Jersey Theory. A few years ago, I buy a Brock Marion jersey (Pro Bowl safety for the Dolphins). Months later, he was a Detroit Lion. Next, I bought a Ricky Williams jersey, and that worked out swell. Then I buy a Baron Davis Hornets...

    Allen Iverson - MERGED

ESPN.com shows that the Sixers want to deal Iverson off within the next 48 hours, which of course cheapens the price. The last time something like this happened was when the Lakers dealt Shaq off in a hurry. That one seemed to work out okay for the Heat. *Cheaper in terms of talent, not...

Breton: "Sellout" is in the eye of the beholder

I got tickets for the Detroit game earlier this year pretty easily on Ebay, but I wish they'd stop advertising on the games that there are $10 seats still available. I've checked Ticketmaster and Kings.com for numerous games, and they're nowhere to be found. If they want to fill up the arena...

    Allen Iverson - MERGED

I'm not quite so down on Bibby, but that's a really good point about someone being able to take it to the rim at will. It would be nice for the Kings to get those calls for a change. If it were Iverson driving for that overtime layup rather than Bibby, do you think he would've gotten the foul...

    Allen Iverson - MERGED

Iverson Marc Stein speculated that the Maloofs might take a look at A.I. with Bibby as the trade bait. Yes, it's Marc Stein and not a fact, so please skip the inevitable "it's not a credible source" response. Thing is, half the teams in the league have already stated that they're not...

    Grant Napear

I find Walton entertaining, despite his favoratism. Hubie Brown is good, but I can't watch him anymore without laughing at something pointed out by Bill Simmons; that being Hubie Brown constantly referring to people in the second-person. "Where are YOU going? YOU can't have that kind of...

    Grant Napear

I like Grant as PBP and on 1140, though he's obviously much more restrained when calling Kings games than on radio. It's funny to hear him go off on idiots that call in, and funnier yet to listen to people call in and remind him that his predictions were wrong. I called in a few weeks ago and...

My View of the team 1/8 into the season

East won it three years ago b/c Detroit was a great team, we can all agree. East won it last year b/c of the refs. That was disgusting to watch.

    Grades v. Spurs 11/19

I'd be inclined to agree until seeing a stitched-up Brent Barry come back to contribute to his team in this very same game after a head-to-head collision.

    Grades v. Spurs 11/19

Two F's and one A- F: Referees - I'm sorry but even Spurs fans can't argue this one. That bogus foul on Cisco on an absolutely clean box-out really set the tone. Meanwhile, Ginobli has the usual foul bailout on his wild stumbling dribble shot, etc. etc. F: Kenny Thomas. If this man...

    Spurs @ Kings Game Thread

Maybe someone already mentioned this, but I don't think EM's "let them play through it" timeout strategy (a la Phil Jackson) is working out too well...

    Defense?

Thanks for the stats lesson :) but technically it takes approximately 30 events (games) to hit a normal distribution, which then can be used to best judge a population (season). So if the season ended in January, I'd say you're right...

Kevin Martin write-in for NBA All Stars

Why not? FG % is higher, he's on a winning team, he's an ace FT shooter, and he finds other ways to contribute with good reb/stl/ast numbers.

Well never mind, I answered my own question--free throws are the reason we put up 100+. 40 or so FTs attempted tonight was it?
