[Game] Kings Vs. Trailblazers 11/13/12

We have too many "multi position" players who have no defined role who basically wing it every night. Sometimes it works, but most of the time it does not.

We have a good team on paper but the pieces just don't fit.
Doesn't help when everyone has a green light.

Not at all. It baffles me that from what I read that Smart just lets pretty much all the starters shoot if they are open. That's why we are last in the league in assists. One on one basketball, taking bad shots = no assists and poor fg%. I believe we are the bottom in both stats right?

Whenever i watch us play the Lakers especially recently i think how easy it must be to be a laker fan you would not want for anything most of the time....how boring and easy...Kings fans like the challenge they eat it up and spit it out. We dont care what the score was or who we played we will be there for the team we will watch....

It is getting to the point that I want to see Reke and DMC traded to an organization that is not completely dysfunctional. They are both having their talents wasted playing for this team right now. Both should be competing in the playoffs and for spots on the all-star team. Not for an organization that is too poor to support an NBA team. Compared to other teams we have outdated facilities, our front office is understaffed and operates in the dark ages of talent evaluation, our medical staff is poor, we do not effectively develop our players, and we have only hired coaches that are castoffs from other lottery teams. How can any players on this team take any pride in playing for the Kings when everyone from the ownership to the coach is second rate and no one seems interested in improving anything?

aparently the Blazer announcers were bashing Sacramento fans the whole game, saying how the Kings should just move because Seattle will appreciate a team and we dont.

hopefully nobody told Cousins

Idk about you but I like a winning team.

And...I'm sure when there was a sea of empty red seats in the Rose Garden not THAT long ago, these same announcers were singing a different tune. Suck it Blazer announcers!

Watching tonite's game is difficult. Start with transition defense, very weak. Lillard is the real deal and a lot of people now must wish that they had taken a chance on him.

The Kings got competitive last year when they started to run and were able to outscore some teams. This year the defense seems somewhat improved, but the offense is sluggish with a lot of standing around. When your center Hayes is tied for the lead in assists that tells you something. Johnson and Robinson are improving on offense. Cousins and Thomas were sorely missed. If you can't stop Portland at home to get back into a game, it is a very bad sign with regard to defense.

The Kings seem to have a marginal offense, (lowest field goal percentage in the NBA), and the defense is not there to keep them in games at crunch time. There is a lot of work to do.

Actually it is currently the third-lowest FG% at .408 (Indy is at .401 and Washington at .395). Our DRtg (points allowed per 100 possessions) has gotten much worse over the last few games. We started the season towards the top of the league, but we are now #23 to go along with our #28 ORtg. Not going to win many games when you can't score and you can't defend unless you lead the league in forcing your opponents to forfeit.

I absolutely love the Blazers squad, they are a fun team to watch. It's funny to look back and think that we actually wasted a 1st round pick on Omri Casspi when Batum was there for the taking for us and we even worked him out if I'm not mistaken.

Life could be perfect in hindsight were foresight.
