Prediction: City of Sac puts "negotiations" with Maloofs aside but continues to forge ahead with Railyards development - except looking at a potential retractable roof stadium. One that could accomodate MLB, NFL, NBA plus other sporting and entertainment events. Hello, Sacramento A's!

Gotta disagree with you my friend. Your gonna see the attendance drop like a rock. Every bridge has been burned. The maloofs say they wanna be here but the writing is on the wall. George killed that when he called the mayor a liar.

I love the Kings and have followed them since they've been here. I won't spend another dime on going to a game as long as the maloof's own the team. If that's what they want so they can justify moving, so be it.

Initially when Stern started speaking on the Kings, my frustration level continued to skyrocket. I begun to think screw you David Stern and screw the NBA! But, as the press conference went on you could tell Stern was pretty upset with the maloofs and he started slyly ripping them. I think Stern did as well as he probably could, considering his position, if you take into account that he is sort of an employee of the owners.

If we approach a boycott of the team in an organized way, I think we could very well could force Maloofs to sell. But it has to be a city wide commitment. A complete team blackout. No TV, no merchandise, no live attendence. The Maloofs can't move until the end of next season assuming they even get the approval to. If the fans shut off the teams revenue stream, we force them to sell and sell cheap. To any new owners paying even remote attention to our situation, they would understand that this city is incredibly passionate for the team and will return.

KJ said the city will pursue a new arena with or without the Maloofs and there is no reason to doubt him. Yes the bridge has been burned not only with the owners and fans but also with the owners and Stern who is no lame duck. Stand together Sac-town and back our mayor no matter what the outcome because he continues to have our best interest's in mind.

What? Do you really think they care, care deeply, even if one or two might say they do. They're millionaires no matter what happens with their NBA guaranteed contracts. NBA players only have loyalty, feelings for themselves, their union, their agent, and the league - in about that order. Period.

I agree. Which is why I initially posted I might be done with the NBA. Seemed at first like Stern was siding with the Maloof lunacy. Became much more clear as the presser went on he was absolutely disgusted by their actions, but can't make a move on them because of the potential of an antitrust suit.

I'm all for a city-wide boycott - tickets, merchandise, advertiser dollars - I only worry that that makes the Maloofs case easier for relocation. It's times like these I long for the days you could just challenge a dude to a duel or something.

Here's my theory on the Maloofs actions. I still think the Maloofs know they are going to sell soon, and with the city loan and NBA loans they have they need to increase the franchises' value in order to take away good money from the sale of the team. They first wanted to do that by moving to Anaheim, and that was rejected by the NBA. And now this arena deal is a good long term deal, but not a good deal for them in the short term, because it means they add more debt while not really increasing the franchises' value. That's why theyre sabotaging the deal.

While I agree with your sentiment, it's unfair to label all players like that. And while they have their loyalties etc., this certainly wasn't the environment that any player wants to be a part of.

Bingo. This is the only the only possible way they can be thinking. Its their last option. pee off everyone so they stop supporting the team, so next year when they want to file for relocation they can argue the city no longer supports the team.

• Kings have not agreed to putting up collateral for a new bond sale to extend the team's existing city loan.

• Kings want approval rights over arena designs and change orders.

• Kings want city to pay all pre-development costs.

• Kings do not want to be responsible for additional costs for change orders on arena.

• Kings want to be allowed to continue to use Power Balance Pavilion in limited ways that would not compete with new arena.

• Kings want more limited wording on whether the team can relocate before 30 years.

• Kings want to approve the city's arena management agreement with AEG.

• Kings want priority in scheduling practices at the arena, and want to not be charged for using the arena for practices and other Kings events.

• Kings do not agree to a 30-year lease. They want that issue negotiated further.

• Kings do not want to be responsible for game-day arena expenses.

• Kings want a say on arena naming rights and signage.
