No kidding. It seems so simple. JT is having a decent game. I don't have a clue what is wrong with Hickson. Or a few others for that matter.
Well, smart seems to be playing favorites, big time. Salmons plays no matter what. Never gets his mins cut. JT when contributing 5 times as much, sits on the bench, while another Smart favorite, JJ, gets ample time for no good reason.

Hayes may or may not be injured so he gets a pass, but otherwise its hard to argue with this. Everyone else has been putting up worse numbers across the board than they ever have in their career.
The roster is just terrible....Nobody compliments anyone else. And 4 out of the 6 players I listed were known around the league to be either horrible or done before GP traded for them or signed them. Salmons is our highest paid player, and signed through '14 (or is it '15?).

What you say about Hayes is true, he wasnt as bad before the injury. Defense was meh, but I remember him being good for double digit rebounds...Still...Ugh. GP has lost the touch. A lot of these players he got for his boy Westphal too. Catering to a terrible coach is not something a good GM should do.

This is also the type of game where our complete lack of leadership shows. GP has invested in three vets. Salmons/Cisco/hayes. Right now, all three offer nothing on the floor. Can't turn to them for anything. That's on GP, for thinking those three would cut it on the youngest team in the league.

To be fair he also drafted DMC and Reke and traded for Thornton. Like every GM he does good things and bad things. But why he thought this roster would ever work I have no idea. Luckily, we didn't do anything we can't recover from. At least not yet.

Just gotta hope it gets fixed before Cousins' rookie deal is up, I dont see anyone wanting to stick around in this mess.

On the plus side, thats a ways off...Hopefully we'll have Burkle and *insert new GM* running the show by then in a brand new downtown arena!

I don't think it's GP's fault that JJ and Salmons are underperforming. I really hated the trade for Salmons but he has never been this bad. And Hickson??? I don't get it.

Except for those times Donte is on, these are basically our 5 best guys at this point. Keep them, Donte, and just waive everybody else excepot Honeyciutt and Whiteside adn I'd feel just as confident.

Salmons was terrible before the trade, and everyone thought his deal was even worse. To trade a roleplayer who was helping the team for Salmons to move DOWN in the draft was horrible.

The JJ trade..I was excited about that when it went down. Omri wasnt producing here, and he isnt helping Cleveland either. But whats funny is that even with JJs gaudy numbers last season, Cavs thought they won the trade (and now we see why). All in all, a wash considering JJ is expiring.

At best, JJ was going to be a smaller version of JT. So that trade never made sense.

Except for we traded our first round pick as well(conditional) for JJ. That makes the deal even worse.
