Henkel was the only one that introduced me to a band I didn't know and now love that alone merits the vote. Nevermind that the list otherwise is incredibly strong.

It was painful to vote against the Stones and NIN but I had to go with Henkel, just too many bands I love and would have taken myself.

while sk7 has a list with a lot of bands i like there are also a few I can't stand. Henkel has Otis, Zombies, and Lennon and bands I've never heard of that I might just have to add to my music collection.

I ahve a feeling Henkel has considerable muscial erudition and may be insulted. Either way we've got a bit of a holdup with the dukeswh/Dime Dropper tie, but that will be resolved tommorow either through a top 5 vs. top 5 poll is dukes returns, or some other means if he does not. Either way, congrats sackings, you'll be moving on to the second round. And Henkel can bang heads with many of the other hipsters in the consolation rounds. Come to think about it taht might have been an interesting way to do the brackets -- hipsters on one side, more commerical lists on the other, so the battles would have been more on one plain. Oh well. Keeping to my determination not to mess up the polling this time, I'm playing it straight and we'll see everybody next round as soon as dukes and DD get settled.
