Kings trading pick!

Kings have made it privately clear that they expect to trade 7th pick, sources say. "They're confident they have deal," one official says.

Ok....so is that Parker, Felton, Sessions, Nelson, Hill, Flynn...... Wow damn Kings not getting Jimmered?

@sam_amick

In case anyone wondered, I have been told the Kings are not in play for Andre Iguodala. He's not what they believe they need.

Glad to hear it. I'm not sure why anyone hear wants Iggy, he's a horrible fit next to Reke and Cous. He doesn't shoot well and is mainly a slasher and defender. I hope this deal is for Parker.

Oh God. So its Not Iggy, and Its looking less and less like its Parker.

That means its most likely Andre Miller, Ray Felton, Eric Maynor ..

And if thats the case, **** That.

I am praying its a new name that we havent heard yet, but out of all the players 'available' the only ones I'd even condiser the 7th pick for are Josh Smith, Tony Parker, Iggy, and Odom.

WHo is mainly a slasher?

The DEFENDER part you just brushed over is the key with Iggy. Everybody wants to fix an offense which was only mildy broke. As usual fans are missing the point that it was our 27th ranked DEFENSE that hurt us far more.

I hope it's Parker. I'd also be happy if it's Nelson. I'd have mixed feelings if it's Felton (mainly because of the one year rental) and I'd be pissed if it's anyone else, unless of course it's some big name we haven't even heard yet.

I don't have high hopes for this. I think it'll be Parker/RJ or else Felton. Which I wouldn't like at all. But what worries me most is the thought that it could be even worse. I wouldn't be surprised.

If Petrie sets us back with a stupid move, I won't be a happy camper!

I'm a big Josh Smith fan i'd be delighted with that - won't be though he hasn't even been mentioned.

It's all been Felton, Felton Felton. The Parker thing went quiet and then he came out with the "i don't want to leave" line.

So he'd be sulking.

No need to worry. You said no GM would do the Parker/Jefferson deal, remember?

I really don't think it'll be a trade for another pick, either up or down. It will be a trade out of the first round completely, and I wouldn't be surprised if we just sell our 2nd rounder. Which would obviously be a stupid move.

If the team actually thinks Dalembert is gone (per Voisin's article) then why not just stay at 7 and draft Biyombo?

I have very high hopes for what could happen this offseason, but reading about things like the Felton for #7 deal also make me realize how easy it would be for this team to take a step backwards and be even worse. Not something that helps at all when this is the ONE year shot the city has to get a new arena done. I'd be happier with drafting Walker than trading for Felton.

And not interested in Iguodala? He doesn't bring what they think they need but Felton or Jameer Nelson do? Sheesh.

My enthusiasm for what may transpire tonight is getting tempered by the minute.

Iggy. I see your point about the defense, but one of the problems with saying that is that one of the reasons our D was so pathetic was turnovers and fast break points on the other end. If we fix the spacing and get some shooters and better passers, we wont have so many turnovers and that could probably help us give up like 5 or 6 less points per game. A lot of games we wound up with between 18-22 turnovers or something like that, and it's really hard to win when you give the ball up that much. When you cant shoot, the passing lanes become clogged up and the paint closes up as well.

Imagine if it is a sign and trade with Utah for Kirilenko... one can dream right? I am intrigued as to who the deal is with.. unlike some of you I would refuse to take Parker if Jefferson was involved. I watched a considerable number of Spurs games.. Jefferson is mediocre.. and he is not a good shooter, regardless of the stats. I am just hoping we get a good small forward in return.. and that we don't give up too much for him.

Yeah I wouldnt mind getting Jameer. He's a good leader and a team player, he knows how to run a team and he can shoot the ball really well. He can also get in the paint.

Sign and trades wont work because you cant negotiate with players yet and there is going to be a lockout with a new CBA so the S&T terms wouldnt even be clear.

Please God, don't let it be the #7 for Felton. That will almost ensure the Kings will be playing in Anaheim in 2012-13.
