can we get the jimmer chant going now?

I wish those darn Parker rumors had never come up because I think that would have been great for the Kings. Oh well though. I'm jut going to try and forget about all that Parker stuff an refocus my energies on Jimmer. Jimmer! Jimmer! Jimmer!

JIMMMMMEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

but we will prob trade the pick
I don't know what to think at this point. I don't see them doing the Parker trade. i'm afraid now that they'll do the Felton trade. Not that i wouldn't like to have Felton, I just don't like the idea of trading a pick on a one year rental. If Felton had a really good year, his value would go up and I just don't trust the Kings to resign a player under those circumstances.

the felton trade doesn't make sense. why trade a lotto pick for a 1 yr rental. we are under the cap to after him (he's unrestricted) after his contract is up. we give up an asset for a 1 yr rental who we can sign outright with our capspace. it's just stupidity.

**cough cough**...Adam Morrison... ** cough cough** (I have a bad feeling about him..I wouldn't do it)
I've seen people compare Jimmer to Adam Morrison and J.J. Redick. I don't see any similarity beyond all three being white. it seems like if a player is white people just automatically compare them to other white players.

Totally forgot his nickname was Ammo. So sad that he didn't work out. What a kick *** nickname for such a lame player.

With that said, my mind is ready to embrace The Jimmer.
What happened with Adam Morrison? He averaged 11 points his first year. Not bad at all for a rookie. After that he never got substantial playing time again.

at this point, i'm fine with taking fredette, walker or leonard.......chad ford's latest & last mock has knight going to the raptors, i'm praying that the raptors pass on knight and go with vesely or leonard and knight slips to the kings

At least we're in agreement about something!

Seriously, Jimmer isn't like Reddick, and is nothing at all like Morrison. The comparison is... biazrre.

That said, I don't think we'll be drafting Fredette if we keep the pick. It's not that I'm against it, I just don't think it will happen. Can see Leonard or Vesely being taken before him. Very difficult to predict this draft, though. Lots of smoke and mirrors.

We'd probably agree on a lot of other stuff too. We just happen to vehemently disagree on the Parker/Jefferson thing and the Dalembert/Bosh thing.

I live in Spokane, WA, home of Gonzaga University where Morrison played. Watched ALL his games. I've watched a lot of Jimmer's games too and there are plenty of comparisons so don't try to make this a race issue. Give me a break.. ((rolling my eyes)))

Latest word from ESPN is that Kings management prevailed in the debate with the Maloofs to not take Jimmer.
I believe nothing.

My own common sense, unfiltered through the kaleidoscopic jumble of media mutterings of the past few days, says that Fredette is a possibility (not a lock, but a possibility) at #7, or if we trade down.

This is one instance where I might side with the Maloofs. From a marketing standpoint alone Jimmer makes the most sense and marketing is pretty crucial to this team right now.
Sooooo we should draft someone based on how many jerseys he sells? Maybe its just me but I kinda want to get someone who can help us win more games..

Sigh...The marketing is just what puts Jimmer at the head of the pack. Who will help you win games is pure peculation right now and just as good an argument can be made for Jimmer helping you win games as anyone else who's going to be there at 7.

Just going on my gut, and past history. After the first initial outburst from the Kings camp about Fredette and how much everyone liked him, we've heard basicly nothing. Instead, its Leonard, then Burks, and now rumors of Thompson. Petrie likes skilled players, especially one's that can shoot the ball. Leonard is not a good shooter. Burks is a SG that can't shoot, and the Kings really don't have a need at SG. Thompson can certainly shoot the ball, but once again, he's a SG. So to me, it comes down to Walker or Fredette, or a trade. Of Walker and Fredette, I think Fredette is the better fit, but I'd be happy with either one. Both guys are winners and both guys are mentally tough, and both guys are leaders. But Fredette is the better shooter.

personally, I think the Kings probably have a deal or deals worked out, that if the right player is there at seven, the deal goes down. For instance, its rumored that the Spurs would love to aquire Valanciunas, and its possible that he might drop to the Kings at seven. Also possible that he won't. But if he's there, then it very possible that some sort of deal is done where the Kings pick Valanciunas for the Spurs and then trade him for ?. It should be an interesting day.

I'd like to add that I think Kahn is the biggest jackass in the league. What he's been doing to Rambis is just dispicable. At a time, when teams are trying to fill their headcoaching positions and assistant coaching positions before the lockout, Kahn has left Rambis twisting in the wind, and at one point made him write an essay on how he would improve things next season if he's allowed to stay. Now, he says Rambis is fired, but he has to stay on the job until after the draft. The guy is the biggest jerk and the laughing stock of the NBA.
