NBA to send 9 member team to "assist" Kings...

Well, I'm sure Stern isn't so sure the city can get a deal done, but he's giving us a chance. On the other hand, I'm sure Stern knows that the Maloofs have really screwed up their relationships with the city, the fans and the business communities. Somebody (NBA) needs to step in to make sure the city is given a fair shot.

I presume the Maloofs will turn over documents to Taylor/ICON, as requested and also agree to meet with Taylor/ICON to start negotiations. I would figure the league wants to make sure that the Maloofs are cooperative and not foot-dragging.

At the same time, though, Stern will likely be getting regular reports on what Sacramento is doing and whether there's any realistic chance for a new arena. Let's go Sacramento!

To say the least.

Wonder whether they are there to more closely observe the Maloofs, or us/the City?
The Maloofs. There's no reason to observe the city. KJ and Co. either pull a rabbit out of a hat, or they don't. If they don't, Anaheim, KC, and Seattle are waiting. I can see Sac getting this done by combining a new arena with new ownership. I don't think there's a chance at all of getting it done with the Maloofs as owners.

It would be nice if they attended more games than they did last year. I would love to see them pumping their fists more often this year!
The only reason the Kings are in Sacramento is because the NBA told them they can't leave for 1yr. They are upset to stay in Sac. Frankly, I'd rather they don't show up to one game.
