OOOOOOOH. That would be neat!
But no, deep down we all know that the fLakers are going to do something shady to get him. It would be cool if Blake stuck with the Clips and turned them into "The" LA team. I can imagine they'd pick up a lot of bandwagon Lakers fans. Kinda like that one season they made the playoffs.

This is the first time I've heard a Kings broadcast with Walton, and I love the fact he's pointing out, without sugarcoating, many of the same sentiments fans on here see and talk about.
Our perimeter defense is killing us, especially Beno.
Omri and Cisco camp out at the 3pt line far too much.
Landry really needs to step it up, both on the boards, and as a leader. He is a co-captain after all.
Tyreke has to work on not leaving his feet to make a pass.
A lot of truth, and refreshing to hear objectivity on a Kings broadcast.
Aside from that, we still are playing better, and guys are looking to move the ball more consistently. We're getting better shots. Defense lapsed with the 2nd unit. Westphal is starting too pee me off with his refusal to sub Donte and JT back in. It's like he has selective amnesia.
This game is definitely there for us to win. Let's hope the refs don't decide how much of a part Cousins will have in the 2nd half, because he's been our best player.

I think Donte and JT were MIA because, at least statistically, they were getting outplayed by Omri and Landry. I'm not surprised that the defense kind of died when those two were out there instead of the starters though.
Still....I like that Omri is crashing the boards. Donte seems to have regressed in that department the past couple games. I think I remember reading somewhere that Westphal was really stressing rebounding with Donte, saying he had to hit the boards to get minutes. One coaching move I can agree with. Athletic 7 footers should be able to pull down more than 3 per game.

Beno needs to SHADDUP and stay in front of his man on defense. Not that I listen to what Bill Walton says, but he has pointed out every time that Beno has failed miserably at staying in front of his man on defense and how it has been the scoring for the Clippers. We need a PG who can shoot AND play defense. Beno is allergic to defense. Teams go right at him every night and he always acts like it's the Bigs fault for not stopping HIS man's penetration! I dont understand why Westphal puts up with it. OH, that's right he doesnt have a choice! There isn't anyone worth a DAMN on the bench to play Beno's spot. And Reke isnt exactly playing stellar defense on the perimeter either. I dont understand why the Kings perimeter defense is so bad? They went to a Zone and Beno STILL got beat to the basket. WTF???
I understand why Greene isn't in the game. If you are 6'11" and cant rebound, you need to ride pine.
