Sorry Chupacabra, but until Evans develops a jumper its really hard to argue that Curry is a less complete player. Evans doesn't have an effective midrange game or a three point shot. In every other category Evans owns Curry, but those two categories are pretty much the difference b/w being a complete player and not.
I'm sorry, but I have to disagree completely. When I think of a "complete player" I think of playing BOTH offense & defense. There is no doubt that on offense, Curry is a better shooter than Tyreke. It is also obvious that Tyreke is much better at creating his own shot. As for passing ability, I give Curry a slight edge. They can both run the point and make most of the passed needed for PG, but neither show the great vision of players like Kidd, Nash, or Paul.
However, on defense there is no comparision between the two. Curry gets a lot of steals (GS led the league in steals and were still the worst defensive team in the league), but he gambles a lot going for steals. Tyreke has already shown shut-down defenive ability, and he will only get better. He is also a much better rebounder than Curry. Don't let the numbers being close fool you. It is amazing how rebound stats can be inflated when you play a run-n-gun style of offense. It creates more rebounds for both teams (assists as well).
There is no doubt that Curry is a more polished player at this point of their careers, but I would consider Tyreke to be the more complete player because he plays both ends of the court.
I would like to point out that the argument of Curry not getting minutes early in the year is irrelevant. Evans averaged 37.2 mpg and Curry averaged 36.2. Curry didnt get alot of minutes early in the year because he wasnt playing well. If anything you can discredit Curry for that instead of using it as a crutch to make an argument in favor of him. Just thought id point that out.

We really aren't the people that need to be convinced.
Actually at this point there is nobody who needs to be convinced -- its already a done deed and will probbaly be announced in a few hours (maybe, that was the timing last year, but with DPOY announced yesterday would they do ROy back to back?).
You can not be serious. He failed to mention anything positive about Evans. Everything was negative: can't play D. Doesn't make his teammates better. Not a real PG. Couldn't play with Martin. I see it as Martin couldn't play with Evans.
That article had warriors bias written all over it.
uhm... it was written BY a warriors fan FOR a warriors blog/board....
nothing to see here folks. Just a happy homer, happy that GS has a silver lining to the dark clouds for the first time since Run TMC. It reads exactly the same as any of the homer posts here for Evans.

Well, any announcement probably won't happen today. The Thunder look like they will be annoucing Scott Brook's COY award today. Usually these things are done one a day.
Hmm...I seem to recall Bill Simmons' first pro-Reke column being a mea culpa in whick he admitted he thought that Reke would suck but had to admit he was wrong.
Which wouldn't make him a big time Reke supporter.
Since then though, he's been solidly in Reke's corner. I was surprised to hear him say that he thinks Curry should get ROY.
And as for the poster saying that he only wrote that for clicks and to rile people up, it's not like the article was about ROY. It was about the playoffs, the end of the season, what things might look like going into next season, etc. The ROY stuff was kind of buried in the middle.
I don't think he gets a vote. He wasn't on the ESPN panel that we saw last week.
