Man, I agree although tonight appears to be as much about matchups (Jamison) than dumping Hawes to the bench in disgrace. Donte is a child next to a real man like Omri, even though they're roughly same age. Casspi's pro experience of several years overseas while Donte has only freshman year in college and last year as NBA rook is enough alone to produce a different breed. Add Omri's insane, but under control killer instinct, and it's no contest. Plus, amazingly it seems Omri is much more versatile off the dribble than Greene. No, I'm not giving up on Donte by a long shot, just looking at the stark reality.
I definitely favor Casspi over Greene. Im not entirely sold on Greene, although he has great potential. Im sold on Casspi. Actually, ive been sold on Casspi.
Casspi surprises me more and more each game. It seems he adds something new to the mix each and every night. He has a knack for making tough shots and he's not afraid to keep shooting even after misses. He plays with a tremendous amount of confidence.
Tonight he became a bit of a chucker from 3 point land but I don't really remember any of the shots being bad shots. They just weren't falling.
FYI - If you don't subscribe, make sure you get the Dec. 21 issue of Sports Illustrated. There's a four-page spread with pictures on Omri Casspi. You'll want to add it to your collection!

Late in the third or early fourth, Casspi had a Peja-esque moment where he shot what appeared to be from behind the backboard and I thought "no way" just before it swished in.
Of course, unlike Peja he dives and scraps for loose balls. Just awesome.
Maybe we should stick with this starting line-up? It seems like Hawes showed a tiny flash of what he can do when he's fired up. He should keep coming off the bench and earn his spot again.

we cant pull that lineup on most teams, it mainly only worked cuz jamison is undersized. but ya when the mis match is there against a smaller PF, I say hells yes to that line up. I liked that lineup because everyone could shoot, all tyreke had to do was drive and dish.
I love his court awareness, like on that play where Nocioni knocked the ball loose, and Omri swooped into the crowd and just punched the ball out to Tyreke streaking out for the dunk.

I think Casspi pretty much embodies the Sacramento Kings this year. Here's a guy who was not expected to be a factor at all comes firing out of the gates, showing flashes of tremendous talent while playing his heart out every night.
