It does seem odd that Hawes hasn't played at all tonight, which leads me to believe there is something minor wrong with him.. It is a back to back after all...

Which leads me to my next thing- looks like Westphal has shortened up the rotation, which is odd especially on the second game of a back to back. No Hawes or Sergio... Unless I missed him..
Westphal might just have him take the night off, to collect his thoughts.

I love how Tyreke is playing like a true point guard today. He's not forcing plays, and he's running the team's offense like he's been doing it for years.

Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee just tweeted that Hawes is NOT injured. Obviously he could be wrong, but its the best info we've got on the subject all night.. He is an insider after all.

I hope it's true ( that hawes isn't hurt ) he needs a wakeup call.

The Kings played the last 2-3 possessions very poorly. Reke and Green dribbled out the shot clock. Udoka bailed them out on one possession.

Reke has 11 points, shooting 4/8 from the field, 3/4 from FT, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 block, 1 uncredited steal, and 3 turnovers in 19 minutes. He's going to get the triple double, or get real close.

Boy that's some nice boxing out and interior defense on the floor with JT in place of Hawes...

oh wait
This is the first time I've been able to see a game (I listen to all the games on audio league pass) and the lack of boxing out is the biggest thing I've noticed so far in this game. I was expecting to see Jason bouncing around fighting for the ball... the ball pops off the rim and the Wiz come away with it. The numbers look ok however.

Greetings, fellow Kings fans! :)

Looks like our Kings and our fans are doing us proud. Anybody seen any Kingsfans.com signs yet???

As a Hawes apologist, I'm glad to see him on the bench right now. I hope it's a wakeup call and I hope he listens. And, for what it's worth, I didn't hear anything about him being injured either - unless perhaps it's his pride.

I've already had phone calls from two friends who aren't really Kings fans but are watching ESPN tonight. They're both "amazed" by how much hustle our Kings have.

Life is good as a Kings fan.

:)

It's a combination of match up and PW making Hawes pay for his sins.

With the way coach Westphal coaches. Our min guessing game will never happen. He goes with whats working. He may use all 14 players on any given night. I mean what other coach sits their starting Center becuase of a mismatch problem? How many games did Brad Miller start when he didn't have a good matchup? So uhmmm when are we going to find a mismatch problem for Noc?

yeah Greene has been our starting sg now all of sudden he is our staring PF. His boxing out skills are rusty.
