Whatever his thought process for skipping summer league, it's pretty much irrelevant at this point, seeing how it's December.
All of this doesn't matter. Him caring....also doesn't matter. He appears to be lazy with no work ethic, and its pissing the fans off. Im a huge homer but for now im writing the guy off.

I realize that i am making a bunch of assumptions here but god this guy is sooo beyond disappointing.

Exactly how I feel..

Eh, I think it matters. it's something tangible fans and coaches can point to and say "you could have been working harder.. " that type of thing. It's something that could have helped team chemistry and his play. I don't hate him for it, but when you Dont show up to something like that it shows there are other players on the team working harder, and that's unfortunate.

That part just isn't substantiated by the talk around the water cooler, so to speak.

But I do understand what you're saying. My point with Nikefutbolero was that summer league doesn't do so much for players that it carries through the entire year. If it did, Quincy Douby would be a repeating all-star.

well not too bad overall... But someone out there has got his rotations wrong. Our spacing doesn't look good at all. But once again, we're doing ok

And what indication do you have that his not playing in summer league created some kind of holdover rift in team chemistry?

I can understand the criticisms but I think people are adding stuff in that isn't really part of the equation.

But whatever... I still have hopes for Hawes and I firmly believe he'll turn it around.

How does playing together not equal team chemistry? The more time the guys get together on the court is directly connected to team chemistry.

...sigh...

What I'm saying is there are NO murmurings of any problems within the team. None, nada, zip, zero, zilch. And those things get out very quickly if there are...

Knock Hawes all you like but don't create problems that do NOT exist.

Well, considering he was benched for Sean May to start the season.. A guy who isn't even part of the rotation anymore. Obviously we'll never find out, but I think that whole summer league thing was part of it.

Like i said, not a huge deal IMO, but Cisco played in the summer league his third year.. Maybe even fourth.. It just tells me there are other guys more dedicated to this game than Hawes.

Clearly offensive. I'm glad JT kept his cool.
Amen to that. If he starts keeping his cool and not drawing the attention of the officials early in the game, he can be a much bigger asset to us towards the end of the game.
