Reke for Wade

If we were a team on the verge of competing for a championship...yes of course I would. As we are constructed now, however, we still wouldn't make a deep playoff run, so it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. However, if you get Wade, and can pair up other assets to trade for another star or two (Boston model), then yes, absolutely.

evans for wade, obviously i would take that.. but with our roster we still wouldnt win many if any playoff games if we made it. what would we do with martin? with wade on the team i would be all for trading for okafor.... that would be awesome. but since this would take more than one trade to make this work....
we would have to make a move for a big first.. if not we might as well keep evans and see what happens. wade as a rookie was 22, his numbers werent insane but he did lead his team to the playoffs with odom and butler as his 2nd and 3rd best players.... wade iws no more of a pg than evans, probably less now... he is in full sg mode. only passes when he is doubled, which is all of the time but it doesnt make him a pg. so pairing him with martin wouldnt be the best idea for 82 games of professional basketball. unless we have much better big men.

wade was injury prone in his early years so... I am kind of hesitant about pulling the trigger, you have seen rekes rookie year almost 20ppg 5rpg 5apg almost same stat as lbj. not comparing them both but if you can do it in your rookie year what more in the years to come.. when you havent even learned to make a consistent jumpshot. when you havent even utilized the 3pt line often.
I'm happy someone agrees with me. Wade is a great player, top 5 in the NBA, but with the glimmer of consistent NBA play we've seen from a 20 year old rookie makes me wonder what we actually have. Since Kevin's injury, the kid is averaging 23/5.5/5.5. Compare with Lebron's rookie stats....he's no Lebron, but really, is 28/7/6 out of the realms of possibilities?
I think we know what D. Wade will bring to the table. As you say, though, we've only caught a glimmer of what Tyreke might end up being capable of... As a long-suffering Kings fan, I'm almost afraid to hope but, much like watching a scary movie as a kid, keep peeking through slightly non-closed fingers because I can't bear to miss a thing.

Watching the game vs. Miami a few days ago I noticed that Tyreke held his own and while he did not deliver the win, did a pretty good DWade impression. No trade. To be doing what he is doing at this age is borderline scary. We'll see what happens when he hits the rookie wall and teams see him the 2nd time around.
Wade is a superstar right now. Reke is on his way to maybe being one at some stage of his career. Wade is one of my favourite players but I would keep Tyreke and take my chance with him.

Those are all-star level numbers which ever way you look at it and he is still only 20. I would like to hold on to this kid and see what comes off it. His potential is off the charts at both ends of the court.
If he can become a solid shooter with a consistent jumpshot he will be unguardable and his assits numbers will unquestionably go up.

I have gradually upped the level of my hints, but its kind of pointless anymore -- Tyreke Evans not only WILL be a superstar, he's actually playing like one for us right now. And every game he looks a little more aggressive, a little surer. When we run into these Derons, Wades, CP3s there jsut isn't a huge gape there. And he's 8 years younger than Wade. This should be our guy around here for the next dozen years. So amazingly...no.

A good number of teams, including who we played tonight (NO), have played us twice and they do not seem to be able to guard him any better. He already seems to be improving at a pretty quick rate this season as his confidence has improved and he has gotten his feel for the NBA. I don't think it's an impossibility for Reke in the future to be able to average almost 30 ppg, 6apg, and 6 rpg.
