Hawes did shoot 4-14, but its still not a reason to bash on the kid all the time. I think we played a decent game. I would have liked westphal to have Reke keep driving until they could have stopped him but meh...Miami is going to be tough tomorrow and Wade is obviously gonna wanna take some anger out on us after Kobe hit that Buzzer beater on him.

Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire, Grant Hill, Jason Richardson and Co barely managed to beat... Tyreke Evans, Omri Casspi, Jason Thompson, Spencer Hawes, Donte Greene and Co.

Think about that. If I'm Phoenix' coach, I'm more than a little concerned.
Once again, I completely agree, VF21. I am pretty frustrated right now as I know that we could have beat the Suns tonight, but we have such a good coach, I know that they will learn from this. Things are definitely looking good for our team!!

Good comment. I'm still pondering that. And with out Kevin Martin, too.

I can't wait to play this team again. And I'm thinking they're not looking forward to it that much.

I wasn't sure what some of the folks here talk about because I haven't seen enough kings games, but tonight Spencer's suckiness was glaring.
Couldn't see it in most of the losses thus far and obviously not when they beat at home the powerhouses from NY and NJ, but it was pretty clear to me who is the weak link here. Donte is not that good either.

Sure I'm biased, but would be nice to see tyreke,Donte, sergio,Beno stop ignoring Omri's talent and get him involved more. You play for Sacramento you get the PT but you don't get the ball when you got Nash on you, or when you run the fastbreak and Tyreke is thinking about pading his stats(even if it means shooting 2 free throws instead of letting Omri just make a simple lay up).

Short Trip it game against heat is a home game, no one played over 32 minutes, Heat have no JO, I expect a Kings win, wade cannot do it by himself with that team

terrible reffing tonight. and we still almost won the game. This team is getting good fast. Amare and Nash are stars and are going to get those calls. The suns may have won the battle tonight with their old vets but we are going to win the war with our young infantry.

Tyreke played good, hes just gotta keep putting up 1000 shots a day, that jumpshot needs to be consistent.. its getting there.

+1. We got killed by all those bad calls. Jeeze. Oh well, I'm still optomistic about this team.

Are you saying that Tyreke is thinking more about his stats than beating the Suns on the road to go 10-8 and on a 5 game winning streak? Is that the argument you are making?

And then are you also making the argument that Donte and Sergio are also deliberately ingnoring Omri Casspi in order to pad their stats at the expense of victory?

If you are, go ahead, make the argument. Show us what you got. To me, it would be hard to make any argument that this team is not playing great team basketball and giving full effort, oh and growing, learning and making mistakes, which are the best things it could do right now. And Omri Casspi is one of the best decisions this team has made in the last 5 years.

oh NO. please please please don't start this crap. We hear at Kings fans went throught this same crap with Peja for a while where fans come over here for 1 player and 1 player only. I starts to divide the fans here at Kingsfans.com and this isn't what any of us want to see again.

This is about the name on the front of the jersey not the back. I love Omri and his game but, when people start coming in and ranting about their favorite player not getting his props it tends to turn ugly and finger pointing starts when this guys player does better than that guys player.

Hell we have been going through that since the draft already about the draft choice we have take.

In ending please Casspion don't start this kind of talk.

I don't get the super sensitivity.Omri deserves more touches. Does he miss his floater down the lane a lot? Does he shoot from mid-long rage poorly?if he scores 3 points and The kings win it's fine.

Of course you don't get the sensitivity. You have only been a fan since draft day. We went through this when fans of Peja from Serbia cam in complaining about Peja not getting as much as Webber or so forth. I am not saying Omri isn't a good player. I am just saying don't start this how he isn't getting his fair share. I got news for you. Baring a trade. When Garcia and Martin get back. Omri could get some DNP's.

I like Casspi but he tries to force shots that just are not there. Last night he went 2-8 from the field. Maybe Westphal saw that he was struggling and didn't want to give him anymore touches.

He will be a solid player... He's simply just not ready yet to produce at a consistent basis in this league. Their is a huge difference between the NBA and the Euroleague.

He didn't and doesn't get any touches other than running the break and the occasional three point shot at the end of the clock/quarter. He can be utilized much better. Yes I am Israeli and want him to do well, but it is basically the same stuff I said about Bargnani in his rookie season with the raptors when I felt the rook needs to get more chances but Smitch was such an idiot he didn't know what to do with him. Now PW is no fool but alot of the playmaking of this team is in young hands and maybe Omri needs to be more aggressive and, hmm, selfish and show what he can do. Right now he is the last option on offense and I am not sure standing in the corner and waiting for the drive-and-kick that never comes is the most the team can get out of him. Look this is not just about Omri. This is a young team. the ball movement is not quite there, the designated scorer is injured and there is no clear cut guy to take crunch time shots (Evans with all his gifts played 18 games at this level). About Casspi being reduced to 5-10 minutes and DNPs baring a trade, well, Martin and Garcia (and Noc for that matter) would have to give PW a reason to inhibit Omri's development. If they can only help him lose the same games he can lose with Casspi what would be the point? I will wait with Garcia, but as for Martin I wasn't immensely impressed from what I have seen in the few games he was healthy.

?

I actually think he is ready, and has been proving he's ready almot every time down the floor. Very impressive for a rook in that he does not play much like a rook.

But that said, the comparison to the Peja fanatics was pretty good here. Let's please don't go down that path. Nobody's trying to keep Omri down. Nobody's intentionally ignoring him for their own stats.

Just another reminder, as someone else has already said: You're here because of the name on the back of the jersey. Most of us are here because of the name on the FRONT of the jersey. Players come and go.

Most of us are very happy with what we're seeing from Omri thus far and we're more than happy to watch him develop as a contributing player on our team. Westphal is doing an excellent job of balancing minutes for a very talented group of young players, one of which is Casspi.

You haven't been impressed with Martin, who only played a couple of games before an injury took him out? I do not mean to be rude, but give me a break. This is like a blind man trying to judge an elephant by touching the end of his tail.

Both Bricklayer and I, and a number of other Kings fans, have been part of this board for a very long time. We've seen a lot of players come and go, and often their fans are here only for the period of time in which they have a reason to be here. That's cool and we welcome fans from all over the globe. One of the worst things you - as a player fan - can do is start preaching that your guy is the best, he's not getting enough chances, etc. It will actually alienate a portion of the very fans who were willing to give Casspi every chance in the world. That's what Brick is referring to as the "Peja factor."

Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. Our young Kings are just starting to turn a corner and I personally think Omri will be a big part of our future. But give him a chance to prove himself to all the fans, not just those who became Kings fans the day he signed his contract with Sacramento.

:)

One more thing you might not know? For the first two years of his career, Martin didn't get much time either. In fact, his first year he was actually left off the playoff roster. His second year was a bit better, but his role was primarily to go stand in his corner and wait for the ball to get to him.

Omri will get his chance because he's tough and tenacious and talented. Just give it time.

... I will wait with Garcia, but as for Martin I wasn't immensely impressed from what I have seen in the few games he was healthy.
Don't get me wrong as I really love Casspi's heart/passion for the game, but obviously you and I were watching a different Kevin Martin before he got injured.

P.S. I may be new at posting on this board, but I've been a Kings fan for a long time...
That being said, I am VERY excited about having Omri Casspi on this team!!
