Don't Make Me Use The Bat
#2
TOP PROSPECTS (by position)
w/thanks to Capt. Factorial and Arby's Roast Beef for their contributions

Centers:
Hasheem Thabeet (7'3" 267) -- huge and long shotblocker, 2x college Defensive Player of the Year. Few offensive skills, may be more roleplayer than star
BJ Muellens (7'0" 258) -- center with good athleticism and developing inside out skills on offense. Not much on the boards or defense, and focus, maturity and motivation have been questioned.

Power Forwards:
Blake Griffin (6'10" 248) -- strong and athletic PF dominated college ball this year, relentless on the glass, consensus #1 pick, lacks polish in the post, defense is a question
Jordan Hill (6'10" 232) -- late blooming PF with all of the tools you like to see there. Scores inside, has a midrange game, and has good size and athleticism for the position. Still not always focused, has shaky hands, and lacks polish.
Dejaun Blair (6'7" 277) -- stubby but powerful wide-bodied rebounding machine, lack of height and hops may limit potential in the NBA, as may defense
James Johnson (6'8" 257) -- college PF, but undersized for the position in the NBA and seen as a tweener. Good scoring instincts from all over the floor. Not a great athlete and prone to shaky decisionmaking.
Tyler Hansbrough (6'9" 234) -- aggressive and physical PF specializing in hustle, College Player of the Year in 07-08, questions whether he is big enough to duplicate success in the NBA, lack of athleticism may hurt on defense, older than most rookies
Taj Gibson (6'10" 214) -- long and lean PF, can block a shot, concerns about his strength/frame
Josh Heytvelt (6'11" 246) -- sweet shooting big who actually can finish and get to the line, but injuries have robbed him of past athleticism, so ordinary rebounder and poor shotblocker now. May struggle to guard anybody on defense in the NBA. Prior drug arrest (shrooms) raises potential character red flag.
Derrick Brown (6'9" 225) -- Athletic freak with good midrange game and amazing wingspan, good defender. Stuck between the SF and PF, height/bulk and deep shooting both question marks.
Jon Brockman (6'7" 255) -- tenacious, stocky rebounding specialist with amazing motor and reasonable post moves. But severely undersized, unathletic/slow, struggles to finish around the basket, bad free throw shooter, foul prone.
Dante Cunningham (6'8" 227) -- late blooming undersized big who is decidedly average in most respects -- ordinary physical tools, average rebounder, has an ok post game that may not translate, decent facing game from midrange, underrated defensively.
Jeff Pendergraph (6'10" 240) -- Hard worker, solid rebounder and defender who scores within the flow of the offense. High shooting percentages generally the result of easy shots set up by teammates, is more of a finisher than a go-to guy on offense. Foul prone. Lacks upside and high end may be solid roleplaying reserve.
Ahman Nivins (6'9" 235) -- small school PF who improved in his final year. Only average size and lacks quickness and explosiveness, but can rebound, block the occasional shot (may or may not translate) and finish/get to the line offensively
Jeff Adrien (6'6" 235) -- rugged but vastly undersized interior player, very consistent in college but may need to develop perimeter skills to stick in the NBA

Small Forwards:
Terrence Williams (6'6" 213) -- tough and versatile roleplayer, passes, plays defense, rebounds. Inconsistent with his offense. A little small for an NBA SF, and may be more swingman tweener.
Earl Clark (6'10" 226) -- long and athletic forward caught between the SF and PF, has significant defensive potential, but offensively inefficient, lacking the perimeter skills to excel at SF or the interior skills to do well at PF
Sam Young (6'6" 210) -- tough and physical athlete who brings it on both ends, does not create his own shot very well, old (24) for a rookie. Defensive roleplayer potential.
Chase Budinger (6'7" 206) -- Athletic gunner with good size and great outside stroke. Is a poor defender and has work ethic questions.
Omri Caspi (6'9" 211) -- very tall and skinny international prospect, athletic and aggressive slasher, better spot shooter than off the dribble, ballhandling needs work. Tougher than he looks, but may lack strength for the NBA.
Victor Claver (6'9" 236) -- Tall, athletic shooter with deep range. Good finisher who also asserts himself on the glass. Very high ceiling. Lost most of this season to a knee injury and may have trouble defending either SF/PF in the NBA.
Austin Daye (6'11" 192) -- ridiculously long and skinny SF, versatile offensively, tested poorly on athletic tests at the combine, body is obviously not ready for the NBA. A project player with mismatch upside.
DeMarre Carroll (6'8" 207) --
Jonas Jerebko (6'9" 220) --
Dajuan Summers (6'8" 243) -- Can play both forward positions, and can act as burly post player on smaller players or spot up three pt shooter, but has no court vision, a limited handle and questionable work ethic

Shooting Guards:
James Harden (6'5" 222) -- most complete shooting guard in the draft, plays both ends, scores inside and out, can even handle a little to take pressure off his PG, concerns about his size and subpar athleticism somewhat answered at predraft combine where he measured and tested well
DeMar DeRozan (6'7" 211) -- young hyperathletic guard still figuring it all out, good midrange game but does not have 3pt range at this point, not much of a passer. Willing but mistakeprone defender. A project, but could have huge upside.
Gerald Henderson (6'5" 215) -- athletic defensive oriented guard, mature and wins points for intangibles, has some offensive skill in the open court but not a big scorer, limited range on his shot, roleplayer potential
Wayne Ellington (6'5" 202) -- pure shooter/scorer who needs to have his offense created for him. Struggles in one on one situations, is allergic to the FT line, does not have athleticism to finish around the rim. Catch and shoot roleplayer.
Marcus Thornton (6'4" 194) -- gunner guard with diversified scoring, but little passing ability and is undersized. Perhaps more offensive sparkplug type at the next level than all around player.
Jermaine Taylor (6'5" 207) -- Scorer extraordinaire at the small school level -- scored in many ways while averaging an impressive 26.2ppg last for Central Florida, tested well athletically at the predraft camps. Needs to develop passing ability and all-around game, and always the question of how small school numbers will translate.
Jodie Meeks (6'4" 211) -- Diversified scorer who can hit from anywhere on the floor, small for the SG, questions about all around game, may not be able to create his own shot at the next level.
Danny Green (6'6" 208) -- Good three pt shooter, decent passer, but calling card is smart defensive play, not a great athlete, roleplayer potential
Dionte Christmas (6'5" 190) -- pure shooter who ironically struggled with his shot his final year. Much better with his feet set. Struggles with ballhandling and creating his own shot.
Jeral McNeal (6'3" 190) -- Undersized SG, had TO/foul problems in the past. Athletic but undersized defender.

Point Guards:
Ricky Rubio (6'5" 190) -- superhyped Spaniard prospect, remarkable, intuitive passer with a flair for the spectacular, floor general with excellent size for the position, skinny and weak, but still only 18, makes a real effort on defense but will never be quick by NBA standards, has a slow release on a shaky jumper and lacks strength to finish inside consistently.
Tyreke Evans (6'5" 221) -- big, strong PG prospect with excellent one on one skills...if he actually is a PG and not a SG. Uses strength off the dribble and hesitation moves to penetrate at will, bullying smaller defenders. Tough and willing defender on the other end. Not a great distance shooter and turnover prone. Biggest question is is he a PG who makes others better? Or a SG better at creating his own offense?
Stephen Curry (6'3" 181) -- top flight shooter put up huge numbers (28.6ppg) at a small school (Davidson). Racked up assists as well, but constantly had the ball. Question is whether he is a true point or a tweener. Could struggle defensively at either PG or SG. Son of longtime NBA marksmen Dell Currry -- knows the game and the league.
Johnny Flynn (6'0" 196) -- steady and sturdy PG with natural leadership ability, a little undersized and may struggle on defense. Limited upside?
Brandon Jennings (6'1" 170) -- talented but undisciplined dart dodged college to go play overseas for a year and did not have much success. Very quick, great passing skills, but often settles for his own shot. Shaky decisionmaking. Shaky jumper. Shaky intangibles. High risk high reward type of prospect.
Ty Lawson (6'0" 197) -- small and quick PG who excels in transition, has a lot of college big game experience, shaky outside shot improved in his final year, still not effective in the midrange, lacks size and focus to be much of a defender in the NBA
Jrue Holiday (6'4" 199) -- much hyped prospect out of high school had a very quiet freshman year playing out of position at SG, good size, good defender, showed little assertiveness as a scorer, not a great athlete.
Jeff Teague (6'2" 175) -- top flight athlete and explosive scorer was talked about early in he season as a potential high lottery pick, but another guy stuck between the PG and the SG. Too small and thin to play SG full time, but does he have the instincts to set others up at the PG? Effort on defense sometimes wanting. Attitude and intangibles may raise red flags.
Darren Collison (6'1" 166) -- undersized defense oriented PG, lacks offensive explosiveness and creativity, struggles to finish inside. Defensive roleplayer potential.
Eric Maynor (6'3" 164) -- Good passing point guard with height and the smarts to run a team in a structured offense, but who can operate as either scorer or passer. Not very athletic, but very crafty and gets himself to the line. Questionable 3-point range, defensively limited, partially due to short wingspan.
Rodrique Beaubois (6'2" 182) --
Toney Douglas (6'2" 183) -- speedy gunner guard who can score inside and out, but lack of athletic tools might limit him in the NBA. Lacks court vision and an all-around game.
Nick Calathes (6'5" 185) -- Tall point with great passing skills and good ball handling. Becoming a respectable shooter and has surprising rebounding ability. Unable to stay in front of quicker guards on defense, turnover prone.
Patrick Mills (6'0" 175) -- quick little PG who had an impressive performance against the Redeem Team last year, can be explosive when hot, but likes to shoot more than pass, and settles for low percentage threes far more often than drives. Plays the passing lanes on defense, but too small to be a factor on that end in the NBA.
Patrick Beverley (6'1" 175) -- athletic PG with rebounding ability, toughness, and defensive potential, but prominent PG traits (shooting, playmaking) are not there.
AJ Price (6'2" 190) -- tweener guard with the ability to hit threes, but just an average playmaker. Injuries have slowed him.
Sergio Llull (6'3" 180) -- highly skilled Euro player with diverse offensive game and decent passing ability. Mature player who doesn't turn it over. May not come over immediately.
Jack McClinton (6'1" 185) -- one trick pony can really shoot the ball from deep, but struggles to finish and is more SG than PG.

I locked the thread and left it in the NBA forum so people would know there was already something created.

:p

Unfortunately, Brickie just merged it so now they don't know.

Hehehehe. I'll go away but want people to know I'm doing a PBP-style live event
