From M's Twitter page: "Just interview Paris. The 1st WNBA game she went to was a Monarchs game at ARCO and she's really excited she was drafted my Monarchs."

That's cool, maybe Ashley is coming back to Cali too?

I can see Boddie make it the roster in an Aqua spot....

From M's Twitter: "Boddie was 1st Team All-SEC and averaged 7.9 assts per game last season, and she led country in assist/turnover ratio."

Only saw her once, but pretty good accolades.

A rough guess at opening day line-up (Yes, I realize this will probably change)

PG: Ticha/Whitney
SG: Kara/(Newton or Scho)
SF:Nicole/Maiga
PF:Brunson/(Farris/Kelly/Harper - pick 2)
C:paris/Walker

as close as I am to arco right now if whiz would have taken another paris before he took a damn guard who can bring the ball up the floor I would have been there with a picket sign....still waiting for an LA pg draft pick...might sorta like waiting for it to snow.

i don' know diddley about her ...

Think Aqua plus five inches. She can't defend. She can't shoot. Her basketball IQ is low. All she had going for her in college was a little speed and DeWanna Bonner.

There were better guards remaining in the draft if they were so hellbent on picking one. This is disastrous.

Wouldn't say disastrous...she played PG for a top 10 team in the nation, was 1st team All-SEC and led the conference in assists. Could've done A LOT worse than that IMO.

From M's Twitter: Ticha on Paris - 'I'm happy with the pick... As long as she doesn't ask me for a loan to payback her Oklahoma scholarship!'

The Monarchs should donate money for every double double Courtney gets!

1st team All-SEC is not a prestigious honor these days because they can get as many as 10 players on it.

She played in a weak conference as a senior (LSU and Tennessee graduated all of their main players from their Final Four teams). As a junior, she did not generate stats that were close to her senior marks. As a PG and supposed leader of her team, she allowed herself to become academically ineligible in her junior year.

There's a lot not to like about Boddie, but I suppose we needed more bodies in training camp.

I am more a fan of Brooks of the names being bandied about. Hell, Risper would have floated my boat. I need to let this draft settle in for me a little longer. Not completely feeling it yet.
