Raise your right hand to the Book of Sherman.

Do you swear to take the shot, regardless of any alternative, and be the only one to take the shot?

Do you swear to pass the ball to the spot where you think someone is supposed to be regardless of whether they are actually there or not?

Do you, above all else, promise to entertain the heck out of us with your naiveté, passion for the game and general young player foolery, while trying to win, being unable to not lose?

Then you are my King.

Incredibly awesome lin for the Kings Tuesday against OKC. Wow, could not have asked for anything better. Did you see Kenny Natt and Kevin Martin conspire to tank? I am just giddy with pride and hope for our draft chances. Good to see the franchise finally take a fan’s pulse around here. That’s what Kings fans want to see.

Can you believe that there is going to be an entire generation of young NBA fans that are not going to remember the Cavaliers as the suckiest suck to ever suck a suck? Unbelievable that LBJ is that good. (No, not the former President either). Count on the Kings to play real hard this time. Too bad, real hard against the Cavs results in a 12 – 20 point loss. Hey, it happens. Besides, Bricklayer needs to dig us up some more pretty girls. Don't you hate that you can't have your cake and eat it too?

Awards

Mikki - somehow, some way. I see no one getting the Mikki. It may fall from grace.
JHA - Delonte West, what a nice guy.
TDM - Goes to mister Mo Williams, he was the reason we lost last time.
Lw Vc - No potential here either.
RA & 1 - See, now the Cavs are a team filled with solid role players and a future HOF'er. Us, we have no flash. So: no one again.
SAR - Goes to Big Z. I love to watch that guy play. What a funny guy.
Greene - Well, it will go to Greene. He should be getting played 15 - 20 minutes a night and he isn't. If Martin sits this one out (tank mode), I retract this award, because Greene will have to play (won't he?).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Game Advice: Tune in to watch Lebron. Is there really another reason you need?

And hey... Kings fans, make an effort to get out to Arco. Seriously, the players need to get paid. Show some support for this awkward motley crew of young'uns.

great job but aren't the awards supposed to be for the last game? As in you give out awards for the thunder game ... To each his own I guess

Traditionally, piksi always announced the recipients of the awards in the next game thread, as indicated by mac... But since piksi hasn't been doing these, others may have their own style and interpretations. I'm just glad we have people still willing to take the time to do these. :)

Ultimate good news, bad news scenario:

Hey Donte? You're in ... but you have to guard their #23.

EDIT: Garcia is going to try and guard Lebron. I wish either/both of them good luck.

At this point, I'm simply enjoying the effort of our Kings. If Sasha wants to make it a little less painful for us in the long run, I'm certainly not going to complain...

I actually wouldn't mind that. The Kings are looking for that top lotto spot and are trying to encourage the growth of the youth. What a better way to push Donte and to get him motivated than to put him on LeBron and tell him to learn.

I really like McCants and the effort he seems to put on the court on both sides of the ball, but lately he kind of reminds me of John Salmons. When they have the ball, they look to score as their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd options before they look anywhere else.

I like McCants. I don't think we can expect him to change his style, though. I don't recall him ever being called a "pass first" guard.

He learned alright, at just how fast LeBron will blow past you. I know many people have been dying to see Greene get more minutes. But if we're going to be fair, we have to comment about his goofs, as well as how wonderful he is. That clear path foul was just stupid.

Nice chat with Gavin. Nice to hear positive comments, including our hopes for the draft, the ticket price reductions and the Maloof family's continuing commitment to Sacramento.

I agree. However, I have to admit that he looks much less happy than he used to look during games. I guess we all do this year.
