I dunno what you guys have been watching, but LA is playing mediocre ball these days...
Very funny.

Last 8 road games, LAL have won 7.
Last 8 home games, Kings have won 0.

Objectively speaking, what do our odds look like, maybe 1/16 (6.25%) at most optimistic? Personally, I'm thinking more like 2-3%, unless the ghost of Red Auerbach starts coaching the team before midway through the first quarter, or Dwight Howard puts on a wig and passes himself off as Mikki Moore.

I wasn't going back that far. The first couple weeks of the season, they were on point. They've recently been slacking against a stack of non-worldbeaters. Not saying LA is going to lose this game, but even the non-worldbeaters have been making matters way too interesting lately. Check Jackson's Bismol mustache if you don't believe me.

You sound disappointed, so, whey don't you give us your record of 17-2 and you take our record of 5-16.
When the Celtics arrive in June, 62-20 is going to be as moot as 20-62 if they haven't figured out how to hold a lead or to defend for 4 quarters. It's all relative. Never practice bad habits.

This sucks. Even I cannot muster any optimism for us right now. However, I can still summon enough pride to say, "Go Kings. Beat LA!!!"

I'll be at Arco for the game.....wearing my new Kevin Martin jersey even though he won't be playing......

Win, lose, or draw, I cheer for and support my team. If the Lakers are in town, I HAVE to do my part. I just hope Thompson will get a lot of playing time, because aside from Martin, I love watching JT play. So much energy.

I think the Kings will come out hungry. The only problem I hope I won’t see is selfish ball. If we can avoid playing one-on-one and start moving without the ball/play together we can be in the game.

I know a lot of people still see a rivalry, I don’t see it and haven’t seen it in a long time. The players are different and some of them shouldn’t have the honor of saying anything about the previous Kings vs. Lakers rivalry, let alone think they’re in one. But I do hope we beat them, because this team and the fan base really needs a pick me upper.

So for the first time since our glory years, I will say it: BEAT LA!

All I'm going to ask is for our players to show their utmost desire to win. Play every game as if it is a championship game. If they do this, most likely we're not going to be blown-out. And hopefully, who knows? We might even win this game.

Recently it is getting scary to see the players playing just for the sake of playing - unmotivated if I may say. It's like going back in time watching the "lackluster" play of Kenny Thomas and Abdur-Rahim.

I will be going to the game and I am not looking forward to it. Mostly will be Laker fans, since Kings fan can't fill all the seats.
We can't fill the arena, but that doesn't automatically mean Lakers fans will outnumber Kings fans. I'm a tad worried about a lot of Lakers fans, but it would be awful if their numbers were actually greater. Pathetic for the the Sacramento region, actually.

I think Laker fans will out number Kings fan tonight.

Well, I waited until I got home from work to decide if I wanted to go to the game. It appears, however, that the three cheapest levels of seats are gone. I just can't justify paying more right now. I'm really tired and the 1 1/2 round trip drive was a bit daunting tonight anyway.

So TV it is. I hope I see an energized team AND and energized bunch of Kings fans at Arco.

I have a friend who drove down for the game. He said there are a LOT of Laker fans there. Oddly enough, a fair number of them are in the Kings store buying stuff. Go figure...

You know, I don't get it. I'm sure there can't be many Lakers fans traveling up to Sacramento from SoCal. If there are a lot of Lakers fans, where are they coming from. Lakers fans from the region that just didn't bother to show up when the Kings were better or former Kings "fans" who've jumped ship now that the Kings aren't good?

My guess? While they may not be traveling from LA to Sacramento for the game, I know several Laker fans who moved to Northern California but kept their allegiance to their "home" team...

couple thoughts in the early going;

in regards to the beno quote from today, the possession where miller threw an errant pass had spencer hawes not knowing where to go. he, beno, and miller were all within a few feet of each other, with spencer trying to screen and beno telling him to go away. he then looked like he was in the way of beno on the cut.

ever wonder if phil jackson scripts things out? sometimes when the lakers come out ridiculously flat, i wonder if phil jackson told the players to give the other team a false sense of security, and then rip their hearts out when they feel good about themselves.

I'm very proud of our team right now. On the other hand, I'm about ready to start a collection to send Angela Tsai out of town "on assignment" permanently. Do we really need to hear a courtside report about the starting lineup of the freaking Lakers?

I actually miss Rupe the Hoop.
