Still really really REALLY wish we had not dropped that last weekend loss on the Hornets. We lose that game, Hornets are #1, Lakers are #2, this Lakers/Spurs matchup happens in the 2nd round, and then they still have to go through the Hornets in the WCF. As it was we made it all too easy -- they meet the weakest opponent in Rnd 1, get an ovematched "opponent" type opponent in Rnd 2, and then get an old Spurs team coming off a tough tough 7 game series against the Hornets.

We handed them the god damn title:(

I hope Boston/Detroit can beat LA but it's doubtful IMO. This blows.

Who's to say they wouldn't of swept Spurs in the 2nd round and the Hornets in the WCF? Who's to say Spurs and hornets advance that far? You can't worry about stuff like that.

Well I didn't watch this series that much since I figured that the Spurs were already worm out from their series with New Orleans. And even though I am sort of happy that the Lakers are going to the Finals part of me wants them to lose against either the Celtics or the Pistons.

I'm happy that almost everyone will be rooting for the Celts here (if they make it) :)

I'm sort of happy that I called the series correctly even though I hate both teams.

I'll be disgusted if the Lakers pull to within 1 title of the Celts and Phil surpasses Red against the Celtics though.

I hope Phil lights one up as the clocks ticking down to #15. ;)

Do you realize how self-absorbed that sounds? The Kings didn't hand the Lakers anything. There are 14 other teams in the Western Conference, a good percentage of which were more capable of doing damage to the Lakers in their quest for #1 than the Kings.

Yes, I know it's always all about the Kings, as it should be on a Kings board, but we are not the masters of their fate.

Same birthday as me and such a different bball worldview... How? ;)

Good job on the prediction. Here I was rooting for the Hornets.

Denver has a superstar?
They have stuporstars.

Are you from Sac Gargy?

For me it really comes down to only having one hometown team and then spending 7 of the best years of my life in Boston - I was a Sox and Bruins fan before I got there but I won't lie and say I like the Celtics during their best years.

I also spent 3 miserable years in LA, but I try to forget all about that.
