^^I agree. Garcia, for the most part, didn't play beyond his game. I agree that it sure seems like the players are starting to trust Theus and each other.

Fun, fun, fun!!!

With this 'odd' lineup and Udrih/Salamons playing so well, Im almost worried with what will happen when Bibby/Martin return.

I loved the 3-in-a-row miss by Redd, that was awesome karma with taking advantage of how the refs make *ahem* 'different' calls near the end of games.

Don't worry you will see Beno about 12 min a game and alot of Salmons as you will see Ron playing the 4 for about 15 min a game as well. It wouldn't suprise me to see alot of small ball after their return.

I think Bibby should start obviously, but have limited mintues, and Theus should give Beno ~18 a game.

Id love to see Ron at the 4 more.

Don't look now VF but you are warming up to Garcia.:D Garcia is coming up big late in games. The Kings of yesteryear were great during the game but came up short in the end. We seem to be a team NOW that plays exceptional basketball in the final minutes of games.

I never said I didn't like him. He's just so frustrating at times. I don't want to have unrealistic expectations - I just want to see basketball that's fun to watch. And Garcia has been a big part of making that happen recently.

It's all good.

:)

What a game by Artest and Beno Udrih. I knew udrih was a steal but my god he has been tremendous. Garcia as expected tried to do too much but he got it together in the second half.

Theus is a VERY good coach and when i first heard he was a candidate i thought it was a joke, this man knows exactly what he is doing and was the right choice IMHO. THANK GOD Stan van gundy found that Kinkos and sent his contract to orlando huh?

Theus is doing fine IMO, but Orlando is 18-9, in first place, and a potential contender in the East this year. Stan can coach.

Dwight has a helluva lot more to do with that than SVG.

Yes, and Salmons and Beno have a helluva lot more to do with our 11-14 than Reggie.

That style of argument cuts in all directions. Generally it is assumed for argument's sake that the coaches have something to do with their players performing, and even MORESO in the case of a guy like SVG who has gotten big seasons out of players in the past than a guy like Reggie, who is a complete unknown.

Oh i know stan is a very good coach, but almost everyone here including me was very unhappy that we lost out on him and now it seems that we have ended up with a very good coach anyway and probably a better fit for this team. BTW Orlando has been inconsistent lately, they started off hot last season as well and then went on a tailspin later on.

the thing is, is that he's working with superstars who are basically shoe-ins to the All-Star Game every year. While Reggie is getting maximum performance and effort out of guys who normally get bench minutes.

But either way the argument doesn't matter.

Just happy they are playing so well! :D

That was because Brian Hill is stupid and refused to make adjustments the whole season. Even Dwight said other teams knew what they were doing before they knew. Rashard is good but they have more or less the same team as they did last year.

Also, Hedo is performing. Last year he wasn't consistant. This year he putting up decent points, and OK rebounding at the SF/SG position. Hedo has developed nicely :)

But again, you can't play that game with one coach, while not with the other. If Hedo's improvement has nothing to do with SVG, than Salmons improvement has nothing to do with Reggie (and both might be true BTW). But either way when making a comparison you don't get to manipulate the argument for your guy by discounting improvements, cohesiveness, whatever, for one coach, and then counting them for another.

Yeah but orlando has een pretty inconsistent as of late as well, losing to teams they should be beating. I just dont buy what alot of people have been saying as far as them being a legit contender.

But anyway its pretty obvious that theus has really motivated brad miller and helped revive his career and he has got everyone playing hard. They were just saying on KHTK that it seems like it was meant to be and i agree, hes just such a perfect fit for this team so far IMO.

I agree but Hedo has been sooo inconsistent his whole career after leaving sac, he was dreadful in san antonio with one of the best coaches in the league. Like i said, van gundy is a very good coach but i think theus is better for this team regardless of how our roster will look in a couple of years.

Last year there were about 15 centers I would have rather had than Brad Miller. This year, nine or ten. I'm glad he's a threat night in and night out again. Out of all the Kings last year, I think Musselman affected Brad the worst.

I think so, too, but plantar fasciitis (sp?) for most of the year and the very premature birth of his daughter mid-season were certainly issues affecting Brad last year.

I think 15 centers above Brad last year might be a bit high for my list, hell...I would've taken Premoz Brezec last year over Brad. This year, I think Brad is right in the middle, which is better, but we're still stuck with his contract that is pretty untradable. Brad is more agile than he was last year, but that's still not saying alot...not alot of teams want a big, still pretty slow guy that cant play that much defense.
