i really like the way that beno pushes the tempo and ball up the court... he came from a great system with the spurs and was stuck behind the NBA Finals MVP for 3 seasons... this may be the opportunity for him to really establish himself in the nba as a legit PG...
don't forget that steve nash was stuck behind an all star PG (Jason Kidd) in phoenix before he got his chance to shine in dallas... and beno is only 25 years old, the same age nash was when he was traded to dallas... nash didn't really establish himself as a legit PG until he was 26 years old...
i'm not saying beno is steve nash, but one can only hope he can become a very solid point, especially if bibby is traded... he is still young and has talent.... maybe 30-35min/game will allow him to shine.... maybe a 12-14 pts/game and 6-7 asst/game type player....
also, he was drafted by the spurs in the 1st round, who have great talent evaluators... the spurs have nabbed tony parker, manu ginobli, and oberto late in the drafts... maybe beno will be the one that got away for the spurs....
