I'm all for giving him a chance, as with everyone else who has stepped into a uniform or on the court to represent the Kings.

I fear you're embarrassed purley because you are a Reggie fan, and that is what the Maloofs are counting on. Old Reggie fans from back in the fuzzy memory old days. If he was the exact same guy, but had never played for the Kings, but ratehr the Sonics or some such, I doubt you would be so wounded.

Reggie hasn't been a King in two decades. When he was, we were losers, and so was he. Now we are losers once more, and now he's back. Hardly portentious.

Its not a no hope hiring, but its certainly no higher percentage than Muss was last year.

this is a open forum right? i haven't heard anything super negative yet. ppl are expressing their feelings right now. i'm not happy with this decision as head coach. i was hoping they went and tried to reel in stan van gundy from the get go.

Everyone will give him a fair chance thats what the summer is all about rather you make a bad trade or a bad coach hiring you still wanna give it a chance. thats the easy path but not the reality one.

Sorry, Heuge, but the majority of Kings fans I've known over the years have ALWAYS given someone a fair chance. In fact, I think it's one of the things that has separated us from some of the other fanbases.

I, for one, welcome him and wish him well. We don't know what kind of job he will do any more than we knew what kind of job Adelman would do.

But apparently I'm in the minority so I'm going to just bow out and let people vent their spleens. It just makes me a little sad, however, because I expected a little different response.
