Mo Tayler is starting

So many write (with bitterness) that they would like Brad Miller traded. So, I ask: Who would you like to take his place that is ACTUALLY available and would be released by another team at this time? Does anyone have a suggestion? I mean Diop, Stoudemire, Wallace, etc. aren't leaving, so who is it that you think is better that is AVAILABLE??? Annie

Tostitos, that's all I want in return. Then Justin Williams and a mix of SAR and Corliss can man the center for the rest of the season.

That's not a great plan, but it opens us up for the off season and will force us to build the for the future in the Center position.

We obviously cannot afford to lose Brad for nothing -- we do not have the talent to lose much of ANYBODY for nothing. On top of that, I think Brad is nearly unique on this team now in that he actually makes people around him better. Mike is a PG in name, but rarely does. Ron has the ability, but doesn't like the role. Kevin is mostly a pure scorer who rarely elevates his teammates. Ditto for Reef. Other than maybe Salmons, Brad is just about the only guy who's game/impact can sometimes be measured in the rest of his team's stats rather than his own.

Now all of that said, if you can liquidate Brad's contract, get back an ender and either a pick or quality kid, it has to be on the table. We're going nowhere with this squad. We need a fresh start. And Brad is part of the old musty guard that will probably have to be cleared out for that fresh start.

Don't get me wrong, he's not #1 on my "trade now" list but it raises the question. IIRC I read that before Mobley got traded to us from Orlando, he didn't play the 2nd half of that game. Brad wasn't at the game so it makes me wonder. Trades can't be completed until Tuesday and sometimes if a team is trading for a player they don't want that player playing more games for their former team. So I guess that could explain why he wasn't there(if he's being traded).

sidenote: I'm really not looking to get a Diop, Wallace, etc if Brad leaves. I want cap space and a draft pick, this team needs to be rebuilt and clearing his contract would help us get the valuable cap space that a rebuilding team needs.

Who cares, Brad Miller's contract is an albatross. Draft a big man or find someone serviceable somewhere. Clearing Miller's contract would be the primary goal. At this point, this team should be concerned with clearing cap space and finding young players.
