In fairness to the Kings, we haven't been healthy. We can't get a good flow. We have a new coach, new system, new everything. Winning is gonna take hard work for 48 mins, night in and night out. A little slip, and we lose.

I know people are frustrated, but we can't do anything but be patient right now.

what is our style
thats what we need to figure out.

we don't really have the type of players for a running game ( or the depth) we don't really have defensive type players, we don't have low post players, no outside shooting, not very strong rebounding, no shot blocking....

wow, i knew the kings had flaws but when i list them, wow that puts things into perspective...

that is a very good point. i think this team would have a better record had mike been healthy from the start of the season.

this team needs health and time to gel/figure out a style of play.

Definition of a Homer.

I wish Price was in there instead of Douby. I mean, it's great that he's doing well in practice and all that, but I think the key right now is establishing a solid rotation! We can't be playing different people every night! We'll never get into a rhythm and we'll never be able to find a style to play in!

Anyway, I have finals tomorrow. good night everyone :)

I hear what you're saying BUT winning is also going to take some kind of rotation pattern that doesn't kill the flow of our good players. Quincy Douby getting minutes in the second quarter because he did well in practice? That just sucked...

This was a game we clearly could have won, even without Artest. IMHO it was critical errors in judgment by Musselman plus some brain fart moments by a couple of players that cost us this game.

...sigh...

If I'm KT, I'm steaming. He didn't have a great outing, but he's our best rebounder.

Why would we put Miller back in the game and leave Corliss in? It makes no sense. It killed our micro-run when Bibby and Brad came back. I thought Corliss/SAR was a bit of a duplication, so remove one of them and put in KT. Dumb move by the coach.

Going back to it - avoid the post, we'll lose. Live by the jumpshot, die by the jumpshot. I thought this coach noticed that we played well when we played BIG? Why did we avoid going big again?

Brad Miller being back may not be the reason for our tailspin, but I think it certainly helped. We aren't beating the teams we beat without him anymore. Having this vaunted 7-footer has done nothing except open the lane up more. We've got no internal offensive presence. Go back to the KT/SAR lineup. It was working.

(or at the very least - quit playing different lineups every game)

We can only hope that they postpone the game in Denver because it would be another mercy killing
They won't. The airport is said to be cleaning up now and they anticipate opening before noon tomorrow.

Game on.

AI might go for 100 on Bibby. He's got something to prove and Bibby cannot keep up with him.

KT single-handedly cost us FIVE POINTS in less than three seconds. That's why he went out... He was totally ineffective against Jamison and the Wiz really recognized that.

My feelings exactly...What the heck was John Salmons doing jacking up a 3 at a time when we just needed to get a smart shot in the 4th??

Exactly what I've been saying over and over again. We need to establish some sort of rotation! Muss, wake up and do something! All these different lineups are so frustrating!

now, I really have to go and sleep. lol. Try to have a good night guys :)

Just trying to be positive, relax and not over react. I'm not gonna give up on this team. If that's what You call a homer, so be it.
Im not giving up on this team but i have every right to be mad. I could understand if we didnt make the same mistakes over and over and over again. Im really glad, however, that both Petrie and the Maloofs were at this game to see first hand how bad this team is.

Hopefully some changes will be in the near future.

You're kidding, right? Salmons was NOT part of the problem. He's fully capable of making that shot and he was open so I have no problem with him doing that.

But you know what? This is totally pointless and I just don't have the energy to get all riled up about it. We lost; we could have won and we didn't. And until the coach decides what kind of game plan he's going to use - if any - AND what kind of rotational patterns he's going to use, if he ever decides to use a pattern, AND until he realizes you don't take out the hot hand for the end of the bench in the second quarter, we're gonna keep losing games like this. And people will blame Bibby - or Salmons - or Brad - or Garcia - or SAR - or Kenny - or even Vitaly - instead of facing the ugly truth: our coach isn't very good.

thats what we need to figure out.
We? I think the coach should have figured this out (or at least made something up and run with it) within the first 10 games.

we don't really have the type of players for a running game ( or the depth)
Agreed.

we don't really have defensive type players
Eh. We aren't defensive masters, but I think we've got players to play defense. We just have to cover for two of the leagues slowest and weakest defenders in Mike and Brad.

we don't have low post players
Completely disagree. That's actually our strength. Our best scorers are inside scorers. SAR is our only legit 20PPG guy. Even last year was scoring 16-17PPG before the injury. Artest is a bull down there.

Then we follow that up with Salmons who is a load.

no outside shooting
I disagree again. Bibby (despite his awful year) and Martin are snipers. They could easily play off of our interior stuff and lead this team in points.

not very strong rebounding
True. Especially when our leading rebounder can't seem to get minutes.

no shot blocking
Overrated.

wow, i knew the kings had flaws but when i list them, wow that puts things into perspective...
Flaws are an excuse. The simple fact is we don't have a real identity and the identity we do have is just follow-through from years past ... rather than actually thinking about our pieces and what we've got.

We aren't a team. No one trusts each other. As the losing piles up, there is less and less trust. More and more built up angst.

Add to it that our coach is out there changing lineups at a whim, playing to other teams' strengths and giving no cohesive direction other than giving minutes to Mike Bibby ... those are our real issues.

I though that we never had a chance really since we played their style to begin with. Just like a Suns game. I really don't know how we could have won this game

I agree. He had a bad stint.

You sit him for a few minutes. Not an entire half.

Bibby single-handedly cost us points every other play. But he's not benched for it.

KT is our best rebounder and one of two post players that give a hoot about defense. When we were making a run, it makes sense to get him in the game. Brad Miller was completely out of place defensively.

When we needed possessions at the end of the game - you keep in your best rebounder, in my opinion. We didn't and gave up offensive rebound after offensive rebound. Hindsight is usually 20/20, but I thought it at the time.

The term 'rudderless' comes to mind...:(
Rudderless would imply our biggest problem isn't that we aren't sinking faster than the Titanic.

And, I may be alone in this, I think Artest just did an Artest-like thing tonight. I think he chose NOT to play, not because of his knees ... but simply because he didn't want to. I'm actually scared.

Then to add onto my fear - I'm not sure who saw it, but SAR and Miller were jawing something serious. Then Miller looked like he was refusing to pass to SAR. SAR didn't give Miller the standard free throw clap or anything when Miller went to the line - instead he looked away. I didn't read that as a good sign.

Add to this - KT looked overly unimpressed while sitting on the bench.
