what was the last movie you watched?

Borat.

While it had it's moments, it was a big let-down for me...I expected to be laughing all the way through, but it was just plain stupid at times..

Im not to sure Ill be in the DVD line for Borat.

As Borat would (Or wouldn't) say.

"Moderate Success!"
I just saw it last night- I thought it was hilarious! But I wasn't going into it with very high expectations, so maybe that was it.

Harakiri (Sepukku) (1962)- Masaki Kobayashi

A shocking and astounding film from the Japanese master. One of the greatest anti- Samurai and anti- feudal films I've seen about Harakiri, the ritual suicide (which entails disembowelment) committed by Ronin of those days.

We saw De Ja Vu (sp??) over Thanksgiving weekend & loved it!! Of course we don't go see many movies at the theatre these days, and I love Denzel Washington & Val Kilmer, so I was predisposed to liking it. :)

Charulata (The Lonely Wife) (1962)- Satyajit Ray (in Bengali)

Some of the best camera work I've seen in a film. Possibly the best Ray film after the Apu Trilogy.

Solarys (1972)- Andrei Tarkovsky.

My favourite filmmaker to date. Just sublime, although I prefer his other works: Andrei Rublev and Zerkalo (Mirror) and Stalker.

Elelphant (2003)- Gus Van Sant

Awful, awful movie. I can't believe this won the prestigious Palme d'or. Nothing but stereotypical tripe. GVS really botched this one.

I know it has been mentioned previously, but I just saw "An Inconvenient Truth" for the first time. Wow...

Put any politics aside and SEE IT. It really is not a political issue...or shouldn't be, at least. See it as your moral obligation.

Well the last movie I watched on DVD at home was earlier this week. "Clerks 2". I know, I know, but I love Jay and Silent Bob.

The last movie I watched in the theatres was Apocalypto. Interesting movie.

Homer Fan Since 1985
I just watched a movie from Netflix that I hadn't seen in awhile. I knew I liked it, but I had forgotten just how good it was.

Glory Road...................fantastic!
