I've been saying it since the start - I'm not impressed with our coach. At all.
There's no strategy, no direction, no unity ... it pretty much seems like the golden rule is:
* If you're under 6'7" you have the green light to do anything you want.
I know we're all enamored with Martin, but Martin is a player much akin to Peja. He plays his best when he gets a nice set shot (or a ton of those fast break points). Having him try to create one-on-one for his shots is terrible. Why take the only efficient scorer and throw it down the drain? Teams are gaming that, so we need to start opening it up by using:
"The Post" (that's the mysterious thing near the basket)
We ran a grand total of 1 post play in the first half. 1. I don't care if Jesus H. Christ and his cousin are down there "god-blocking" the ball ... you have to run a few post plays to someone.
We're lucky right now that this isn't a blow out. Real lucky.
I'm not in the corner with everyone saying it's because of our roster or our players being hurt. Our coach is not getting it done. I've heard he's got this massive playbook ... which is funny because we're looking more and more like last years team than anything else.
