What happened to Van Horn?

I Know that he is a free agent but did he sign with anybody yet? If not, what a why for a guy who was thought to be the next Larry Bird to end his career.

And also what ever happened to Glen Robinson after he won the title with the Spurs its like he disappeared.

Van Horn is still out there I think, and apparently mulling retirment, although I have no idea why. He's only 32 and damn near won a ring last year -- why bail now? Odd.

No idea what happened to Big Dog. I guess/assume that he did just take his ring, and the $100+ mil he earned in the league, and call it a career. At least he had knee problems that may have made it painful to continue.

Maybe Van Horn is waiting for Petrie to give him a call. We could always use another player like him.
Imagine the fear of the driving offensive player as he cuts through the devistatingly fearsome defensive trio of Kieth Van Horn, Maurice Taylor, and Brad Miller.

Yes, he is a must-sign!

;)

What happened to both of them is that they weren't able to play against collegiates for the rest of their careers. Glenn had better timing though. IIRC, he still holds the record for the biggest rookie contract ever. Van Horn, OTOH, was drafted under the rookie scale. Salary figures are the only stats that really count in this world (ask Kareem, who had to play till 40 after his house burned down and his agent beat him dead).

Not to say that KVH earned more than Big Dog as I'm not certain, but I think KVH got paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $13 million last year with the Mavs. I'd take just that amount of money, but I guess he got somewhere in that neighborhood for the past few years. Man certainly shouldn't need to work anymore if he doesn't want to do so.
