D-Fisher going to Jazz land

#1
The Salt Lake Tribune - The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting that Golden State Warriors point guard Derek Fisher has been sent to the Utah Jazz for Devin Brown, Keith McLeod and Andre Owens.

Fisher averaged 13.3 points and 4.3 assists with the Warriors last season, backing up Baron Davis

Salary dump for the Warriors, I guess. Jazz get a solid, tough guard who can shoot, and they need outside shooting badly. Brown is an average player, didn't work out like the Jazz had hoped, and McLeod? I don't know what he is, and I've seen enough of him just from watching games over the year, and I don't understand him. Guess he can make some passes and is more of a pass-first guard, which the Warriors haven't had in awhile. Regardless, he doesn't seem to be much. Andre Owens I remember killed the Kings back in November, went undrafted out of Houston. Seems like a tough, okay SG.

strange deal for the Warriors. Mullin strikes again?

Just a pile of random garbage. Not that Fisher is anythign great, but at least he's not an established scrub. They could have picked guys like that up with the LLE or off the waiver wire. No need to trade for them. Just bodies.

Warios got some young giuys who play D... nothign to write home about but ought to make them tougher. Jazz get a guy that can spell at the point and play as an OG in the wings.

Nothing more than a contract dump for the Warriors. They've been trying to unload Fisher. With Monta Ellis suprising everyone last season he steps in as the guy backing up BD.

Warriors got rid of a horrible contract simple as that. They didn't forsee trading for Baron Davis when they originally signed Derek FIsher.
