True, he is VERY slow on defense. But that's it. Exceptional at rebounding. His size and length alone is a problem for the attacking team. Very strong too
Offensively he still has it. A bit in slow-mo, but he is not a starting C for a championship contender anymore.
JV is a very cool cat. Likes to joke. Locker room is going to be fun, as long as team has something to play for.
Among all the things that JV does well, I personally like his pressure on the offensive glass. 5-6 years ago Memphis played Hawks and I still remember the shot in the second half of Hawks bench during time-out. Two of Hawks bigs were soaking wet, eyes popping out and grasping for the air. That was the price to pay for boxing out JV. Yet they failed in their mission
