Potential Free agent/trade/sign tracker

Not sure I get what Washington is doing. They just shave off 1 year of Kuzma’s contract. You’d think they could at least get an expiring out of it.

edit: I guess the main prize was Johnson. So Washington Hager’s a prospect and saves some money in two years.

Gotta love Dave's "We're totally making another deal" and then watch everyone else make deals besides the Kings.

With both Fox and Lavine being with the same agency, that deal felt more like their doing than ours. Our front office cannot close deals, and IDK what we can do about that. Hire an agent as GM?

I got spoiled a few days ago when we traded for Zach.

usually at this time before the trade deadline this would be another day of watching everyone else make deals and then we are left with crumbs.

What ever happens today and tomorrow should fill out our reserves.
feeling good about this!!!!

Don't care about KJ but him going to Detroit doesn't seem like a final destination if our FO did.

Have there been any actual links to Kings and JVal beyond fans making the Lithuanian connection? He'd be a great pickup but doesn't necessarily feel like our MO. Granted we desperately need to move away from some of the MO that Brown may have driven.

I think it's just dot connecting. He fills a massive need, he's cost/team controlled, he's affordable,we just opened up an easy way to bring him in with the TPE, he's got a relationship with our franchise player.

Just makes too much sense.

Exhibit A why players suck as GMs
And B and C and D. I love Giannis, but he wanted Budenholzer fired and Adrian Griffin installed. Then he wanted Doc hired. He also wanted Dame on the downslope of his career. It's just one bad decision after another to appease Giannis. I understand why MIL does what he wants. They're over the barrel. But still, current players make absolutely awful GMs.

Do we actually know what his relationship with Domas is. We make a lot of assumptions on these things and they turn out to be wrong. I mean we assumed the Foxes loved Sac (I think it's safe to say it was an act and they never truly felt at home here), many people assumed that Deebo and Fox were tight (apparently not), many people assumed that Deebo and LaVine might have beef (apparently they are mega close)...

I think Jonas is a logical target but I also feel like we're setting ourselves up for disappointment and that maybe there are reasons we never made a move for him, including the possibility that Domas advised against it for some reason.

Don't know. Just wondering why we never pursue "obvious and available", and yes FO incompetency is not being ruled out.

Domas has said that Jonas is a big brother and mentor to him. Both Domas and Jonas are beloved by teammates so I’d think they have a good chance of having a great relationship

I don't watch a lot of their NT but had heard they don't often share the court together, if at all and I imagine that may be a concern of the FO that they would be limited to like for like subs and not be able to put them on at the same time.

I'm definitely for it since the price is right and I think he is better than anything we've got. Just trying to be realistic that the FO may not even consider him a target for some reasons we don't consider.

There was legit smoke (sort of) in the summer. At least rumors were floating around of interest.
