Always has to be somebody, just surprised it's Fox. Would figure on either DDR or Keegan getting hit full on first. I guess the Klutch stuff is probably the deciding factor.
Did fox’s cotract situation change when I wasn’t looking?
just because they’ve been playing well lately doesn’t change the fact that he’s our best option for pulling in a haul. IMO, our best option for getting better is to trade Fox. If not Fox who else, cause I assumed that we al know that the status quo will not make this team better. Or was Christie the only thing that was missing for this team to make a good playoff push?

I honestly did not have "Fox becomes obligatory forum scapegoat" on my 2025 bingo card.
I'm pro-trade Fox, but it has a lot more to do with roster balancing and his value as a trade piece vs me thinking he stinks or whatever.

He's still easily a top 2 player on the roster (arguably the best, but I'm a Domas guy), and the type of player you need in the playoffs.

Best case scenario is McNair pulls off some miracle Kevin trade to balance the roster and clear the guard log jam, but I can't imagine rival GMs are knocking down the door for Huerter.

Actually I'll amend that, I'm not so much "pro-trade Fox" as "he's not untouchable". It's gotta be for the mythical haul!

Strongly disagree.

Or instead of looking for a haul to build for the future, we could keep a top 20 player in the league and try to win some time in the next couple of years.

I don't mean to call anybody out, but it is clearly a case where some of us Kings fans have never been close enough to sniff the Larry O'Brien thus they never build up the winning habits, which make them hastily see a couple road blocks and decided that a detour is the best course of action.

Isn’t this an issue because of Fox and his agent? I’d assume the kings would rather build around Fox but if there is a chance that he can leave the kings with nothing to show for him then I am all for the team trading him.

There's a difference between assessing what Fox's trade value is - which I have been opining on myself in the past week or two - and arbitrarily blaming Fox for the team's poor performance in a particular game during the game thread.

I was talking about the latter.
