This has been a momentum team all year -- they feed off big plays and can struggle when they're bogged down in a trench battle. The defense being so all or nothing is definitely a cause for concern. They looked completely incapable of stopping Detroit's run or pass game for two quarters and then suddenly they were an all league defense again in the second half. Hard to explain but at least they played their better half to close the game out instead of the other way around.
I don't think this Kansas City team is that intimidating though. They lost to the Packers and the Lions this year and just got shut out in the second half by the Ravens. With two weeks to prepare, I like the Niners chances against KC. This is the matchup I wanted. Kittle, Deebo, Juszczyk, Warner, Greenlaw, Bosa, and Armstead were all part of that 2018 Super Bowl squad that had a 10 pt lead in the 4th quarter against Mahomes and Andy Reid and lost by 3 touchdowns. A chance at redemption is all you can ask for, now it's up to them to make the most of it.
