Purdy only had to make that crazy throw on 3rd down because Kittle dropped a gimme that hit him dead on in the hands. I think after 12-0 the expectations just hit an unrealistic level for anyone to live up to. We're still in this game. The offense responded. Now it's on the defense to make a big play.
The worst lost of the season where we straight up looked outmatched on both ends of the field. Purdy is in his own head and probably got concussed again. 2 weeks of rest should do him good. I think this entire team needs a reset during the bye. No one is doing enough. If you were to blame exactly 1 side, I think here's how you would allocate the losses:
1. First loss was on Moody (special teams)
2. Second loss was on Purdy (INTs)
3. Third loss was on defense
But truth is, all 3 units have not been good enough in these last 3 games. I think Wilks should be on the hot seat

Change has to come from within. Getting healthy is #1. Purdy isn’t this bad, and hopefully guys getting healthy over the bye bring him back to being good. I’m not close to sold, think he’s been a bit exposed but there’s a dirt cheap slightly above average QB, you take it.
Gotta fire Steve Wilks. What’s happened with the defense is unacceptable. Bosa is currently nothing more than a thief. Dude is coasting so hard. And without the defensive line doing anything, the secondary looks terrible. I don’t give any blame to them. This defense’s failures are on the coach and inability to bring and pressure at all.

DIsagree, the 49ers had a good defensive game against the Browns. This 3rd loss is also on Purdy - you can't have 2 INTs and a fumble. The defense was a close 2nd . The 2nd INT was really poor, while the first one he misjudged the looper. Getting Samuel will help the offense, but I have no idea why Shanahan isn't playing his RB depth. Hard to watch, both sides of the ball. The secondary was terrible today too. I expected a better game, and immediately you could see the same garbage from the last 2 games. Anyway Late game turnovers iwill absolutey bury you.r team.

-We're no longer the sharp-mistake free sword that we were the first 5 weeks. Team is just flat out sloppy in every facet, including coaching. Purdy has had a few bad bad TO's, Jimmy G-esq in terms of horrible, but he's also getting 0 help from his offense. Aiyuk drops another first down pass that literally hit him right in the helmet. CMC has a first down run...and Buford has a holding call that brings us back to 1st and 20. First Bengals drive, we have Burrown SACKED with like 5 49ers getting a hand on Burrow, none of them bring him down somehow and he throws a strike for a first down. They score on that drive.
-Our vaunted defensive-line has vanished. This was supposed to be the best unit in football and they let Burrow play pitch and catch all game long. Or they lost contain and let him run for a first down. My guess is teams figured out our defensive scheme and Wilks hasn't adjusted one iota. We look like the 25th best defense in football right now, not a top 3 defense like we were the first 5 weeks.

Acknowledging who the opposition was (or, to put it in better terms, acknowledging the "lack" of opposition...), that was as good, and complete, of a game as I have seen from my Cowboys this season. Offense was clicking. Defense was clicking. Special teams was clicking. That was fun to watch. 1st quarter was probably as good of a quarter as I have seen in quite some time.
