If we don't get hurt, we're going to win 50+ next year. But we didn't waste $100M on Kuzma so now it's a bad offseason? Or is it a bad offseason because we felt that $25M was worth more than a late first-round pick who would have been unlikely to crack our rotation? Seems a decent chance we bring in Vezenkov. We still have the opportunity to maybe pick up a guy like Grant Williams, we should still have a backup center that's not Lyles coming in, who's that going to be? Why doom and gloom a team that's going to win 50+?
The most promising thing has been seeing that the team hasn't stopped working together since the end of the season. I like hearing about Fox v Murray playing one on one every day way more than stuff about guys bulking up or coming back in whatever shape. This team has a lot of room to grow organically.

We'll see, might be a tougher road this year. And some of the should be bottom feeders like the Blazers won't get out of the way. If Zion is healthy, the Suns are for real, the Lakers keep on the path they were on post trade, the Clippers are healthy, the Mavs figure it out, then the West could look entirely different 3-8 next season. If they aren't the Kings should be in a great position to feast.

Interesting prediction given the injury differential between the Kings and other western teams last year. I hope you are correct but given injuries returning to the norm, other teams draft picks, and what we have seen in free agency…. I would be very happy with a top 6 finish and 45-50 wins

Hmm after the draft we were one of the top cap teams and to date whom have we signed????
sactowndog said:
Well it would be nice if they could guard and shoot but those players have all already signed and not with us.
sactowndog said:
For us absolutely. Keegan is best as a power forward guarding primarily 4’s with some 3’s. Johnson can guard 2-3 better than Keegan.
sactowndog said:
He is better for us. Cam is a better defender who can guard the 2-3 whereas Barnes is not quick enough. But what the hell in Kessler we trust

Possible but Duarte isn’t solving any of our gaps

Life as a Kings fan……

Oh sweet we got Prosper

Oh crap we traded him

Oh awesome we can sign an impactful 3 and D wing

Oh crap we got Duarte
What a day! Thank you for all the reading materials.

I'm going to save these for future generations to learn the difficult concept of, "You can never please everyone so don't even try."

Even if you managed to take a team out of its success drought with a carefully-crafted roster, pushing every player to be better and played well together in achieving success ahead of schedule, meanwhile providing the team flexibility, not breaking the bank, and not trading off future success like the Lakers and the Suns on the first sign of improvement available, there'll still be someone out there who sees fit to throw stones at ya just from merely staying put with what you got so far while monitoring how each player's individual improvement from their motivated off-season would bring us before deciding to move forward.

So just do what you believe to be right (because they put you in that position and not someone else for a reason) and ignore the outside noise for you can never please everyone so don't even try, son. :)

mute my friend.

I think this deal Schroeder to the Raptors, is going to work out great, I think their draft pick, Grady Dick falling to them, is also gonna work out great.

The east is not the west, the west is far tougher. I believe in Siakam. Scottie Barnes has ALWAYS played winning ball. I like that team a lot, I really hope Christian Koloko balls out for them too.

I'll actually be keeping a much closer eye on this Raptors team than I have the last few years, admittedly I'm a big Schroder guy n was one of the few posters vouching for him here last season.

I like the Derrick Rose to the Grizzlies deal too --- if there ever was a PR signing its that one, if there's any one vet to be stuck on the bench who can help them rebrand the unlikable image they formed last year, its Derrick Rose.

Keita Bates Diop to the suns 2 years 5 mil IM SO SAD!

They are saying he might start for them though, so we could never offer an opportunity like that...

They signed Drew Eubanks too.. My goodness.. The Suns are gonna be so tough if they stay healthy n build chemistry... Thats why the Jock Landale offer got pulled...

I don’t get any of the doom and gloom comments. The Kings will be a super fun team to root for next season.

Landale would be a good 3rd string center behind Sabonis and Lyles. He can shoot 3’s and pass out of the high post. Not a rim protector though.

This Tweet should be framed and hung in the basketball hall of fame right next to a bust of Fred VanVleet's agent! Even if it came with a promise from Lebron to opt out in 2024 and join the Rockets I still wouldn't have agreed to this contract. VanVleet's career TS% is .543 which, for context, is lower than what Davion Mitchell produced this season. He's joining a team with only two players who shot better than 35% from three last season (Kevin Porter Jr. whose spot in the rotation he's taking and Usman Garuba who is reportedly on the trade block). Oh yeah and their lotto pick Amen Thompson can't shoot either. Things could be real bad in Houston this year for Ime Udoka.

The league has gone mad paying Hali a max deal.

I hate to be that guy but I'm going to be anyway. I hope they never ever have more success than we do. His whining really left a sour taste.
