I'm not thinking this at all.

I predicted Kings in 6, and I'm sure it will happen. They could have won this game. Inexperience happened. They got hammered in Game 3, and learned from it. They made pressure mistakes here, and they will learn from it. The Warriors are good, but they aren't too good. If they were too good, this would have been 4-0 for them, not 2-2. You have to respect them, but not fear them.

There's a difference between pessimism and defeatism. Pessimism is "it's going to be really hard to win this series, we may not do it." Defeatism is "we don't even have a chance." It's understandable to be pessimistic, even if that's a sad way to live. It's indefensible to be defeatist right now. You, sir, are being defeatist and you have no grounds on which to be that way. This team went from the laughingstock of the league to #3 in the west. Your homegrown star went from being overlooked to being the inaugural NBA Clutch Player of the Year. You have the first f*****g unanimous Coach of the Year leading the charge and the change. Put some damned respect on the damned Sacramento Kings name, and stop chat rubbish about 100% loss. This is now a best of 3, and any card can play. Yeah, you can be pessimistic and say the kings are likely to lose, but don't you dare go beyond that. Respect what's been done this year. This team can ball with anyone, anytime, anywhere, and they deserve credit and kudos no matter what happens. Kmt.
Agree. I think they can get the next one, and perhaps steal game 6

Just got to take care of home court. Kings can beat these guys…or they can lose.

Kings once again didn’t win the board and didn’t force enough turnovers. They need to against these guys otherwise it difficult. Warriors getting to the line more is also major. I know Domas isn’t playing well, but it’s pitiful that he couldn’t get a single whistle tonight. I don’t think he got one. Barnes and Monk also couldn’t get a call.

Fox, Keegan, Davion were great.

Lyles and Len were solid.

Barnes rough shooting night overall. He took a bad shot but it didn’t end up hurting the Kings but I didn’t mind that last shot. One because he had to take it but two because it was a good shot.

Monk was great and terrible depending on the moment.

Huerter non existent.

Domas was bad. Stand by, I have a long winded Domas post coming.

I’m just saying what everyone’s thinking. They’re too good. Too experienced. We’re not there.

The Warriors and the Suns are the two teams we were going to lose to 100%
No. I'm not thinking this.

We may lose, but the team has shown the talent and resiliency to stand up to the Ws. I still believe we have the upper hand, despite dropping this. The team knows it can win in G1C and go toe to toe, and potentially win even on the road.

Garbage take. Even for you.

If HB makes that three, which easily could have gone in, then what? Suddenly they’re not too good or too experienced and we are there?

I mean, that’s a very razor thin margin of error. All their skill and experience boiling down to a shot they had no control over the outcome. Give me a break.

Fact is, sans game three, these teams have played pretty evenly. The series is tied 2-2.

If anything, the KINGS are the superior team and it’s the Warriors experience that is evening things out.

And here’s the end all, be all. The Warriors HAVE to win in SAC. If they don’t they don’t win this series. Despite being “too good, too experienced, and us not being there” — allegedly.

They may indeed be able to do it, but they haven’t yet.

Dude literally put up one of the best shooting seasons in franchise history this year. I get that he hasn't quite shown up this series but 15/2.9/3.3/1.1 on an incredibly affordable 4 year deal for a 24 year old 6'7" wing-guard is absolutely a core piece. Maybe not on a Domas/Fox level but he's certainly there on a "Trade only if you're getting a star or something back in return" level.
I guess I'm just disappointed in his inconsistency.

I haven't really complained about his defense this series though so I'm glad there hasn't been an issue there

Just wish he would knock down more shots, like at least go 3-8 instead of like 0-7 0-7 5-6 5-6. I'd rather he just be more consistent

Definitely bummed but that was high quality basketball. Proud especially how Keegan responded and Davion’s newfound confidence. Those were 2 of my biggest question marks before the series and they’ve both proven they’ll be major contributors in the years ahead. Sabonis and Huerter now need to quiet the critics (me included) and that starts in game 5

I think really it’s a matter of the defense that Mitchell brings being too important then Kevin having a terrible game. He just never really got into any sort of a flow.

Sabonis has to provide more production in order for a series win to be realistic.
No doubt, role guys are important but stars decide your future, period. The Warriors complaints seemingly worked because the last two games Domas has gotten a whopping 2 free throw attempts. After having 12? Nah, that's some BS somewhere along the line.

the risk is you rush a shot and you leave time on the clock for a 40 footer from Steph.
Indeed; if the Kings were playing a team that doesn't have Steph Curry on it, I'd have been behind the strategy of, "Get a good, quick shot, and roll the dice on your defense." But not when you're playing that dude.

My thoughts exactly. I can take any negative takes up to a degree, you can call out players' weaknesses, how we got exploited... etc, but I certainly cannot tolerate any "give up" talks. Seeing our players pour their hearts out on the court, not giving up an inch even though they end up still falling, I cannot, in good conscience, feel like giving up.

You are not guaranteed a win if you believe, but you definitely will fail if you don't.

Domas just needs to focus on putting the ball in the hoop and not drawing a foul and I think he'll be fine, but he needs to start doing that now or else he'll be completely neutralized I feel.

He has too much skill to not be able to score down low

But when we complain we get nothing. That’s the kinda BS that ticks me off

we are just going through the carousel of blame at this point.

if we lose this series it will be because of the best shooting tandem there will ever be, the best defender of our generation (even though I despise him now) and a wealth of experience in doing the little things to win. The Kings players believe they can win and even if we don’t, we have an incredible base to work with.

Kings fans, and I’m saying this for myself too, take a deep breath and enjoy this! We are watching awesome basketball and our team is a bright light for the league even if Doris and JJ don’t want to admit it

DeAaron Fox as clutch as he is...his mental lapse of going beneath the screen and allow Steph to make a crucial 3 is the difference in the game. I mean c'mon man. Of course, other factors such as Malik driving and attacking at the teeth of the defense in fastbreak is just dumb basketball. And last but not least, Sabonis not getting called being physical inside doesn't help...refs swalling whistle despite Sabonis falling every time.

Last attempt by Fox failed at the wrong time. I mean GS was in foul trouble...should have been looking to attack and draw foul...instead he fumbled the ball a bit and then pass to Barnes (who I don't trust at the 3 in this game)....while Monk was also open on his left...why not pass to Monk? I trust Monk shooting 3 than Barnes. This team could have won the game if they play a little smarter. The GS, they don't make stupid mistakes like that in crunch time.

I get that your schtick is the Randy Quaid dude from Major League. That’s fine and all but nobody wanna hear that crap when we almost had a chance to go up 3-1 on the last shot.
OMG this is perfect….Slab, in an effort to unite kingsfans.com please tell me you will change your profile pic to Randy Quaid in Major League? I promise it will make it easier to digest your takes.

As discussed before though, Domas' internal clock on shots goes to about 13. Tonights total? 13 haha. I'll fall out of my chair the night he says F it and puts up 20 in a playoff series. Yeah, Sabonis is skilled but Domas doesn't really have an array of moves in the post, he needs to start using that hook better. Too much brute ball from him in this series.

Sobonis hasn’t been aggressive. He’s in his own head. And he’s got open 3s that he would norm attempt that he’s not even looking at.

we where so close!

every game feels like the nba finals

I think it’s pretty obvious both can guard him and guard him extremely well.
Nah, they've just figured out how to bother him but he's definitely too good to be neutralized by them.

I just think he needs to adjust a little more to playoff atmosphere.

A simple hook shot and he can score over Green, but he's trying to bully ball and not getting the call.
